Certified on Sunday but NY unemployment system now showing 'enter for benefits' instead of 'processing'

Same exact thing happened to me last month! The system glitched and didn't save my certification even though I got a confirmation number. I ended up having to re-certify and then got a notice saying I was late. Had to call and explain the situation. It took forever to resolve.

Check your email to see if you got any notifications from them. Sometimes they send messages if there's an issue with your certification. Also try logging out completely and logging back in - the site caches weird sometimes.

I had this EXACT issue and it turned out their system was doing maintenance that day. Try again tomorrow morning - mine fixed itself after 24 hours and showed processing again.

This is a known issue that's been happening alot lately. Their system is glitching and not recording certifications properly. DO NOT CERTIFY AGAIN - it could flag ur account for fraud. You need to talk to a rep to fix it. Try early morning calls around 7:58am right before they open.

Looking at your problem you definitely need to speak with an actual agent to fix this. Sounds like a system error on their end. There's several things that could be happening: 1. Your certification didn't actually save in the system despite getting confirmation (happens more than you'd think) 2. There's an identity verification issue that's holding up your claim 3. Your benefit year might have ended and needs to be reviewed 4. The system could be doing maintenance and showing incorrect status Regardless, this isn't something you can fix yourself online. You need to talk to a live person. After dealing with NY unemployment for over a year, I can tell you that calling them directly is nearly impossible. I discovered a service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that basically calls for you, waits on hold, and then connects you when they get a human. It seriously saved me when I had a similar issue - talking to an agent got my benefits back on track within minutes of explaining the problem. Don't re-certify yet as that might complicate things. Try checking ur payment history too - sometimes it'll show pending payments there even when the main screen is glitching

CLEAR YOUR COOKIES AND CACHE!!!! I had this problem and it was literally just my browser being weird. Logged in on a different device and everything looked normal.

the ny unemployment system is designed to be confusing on purpose i swear. they hope people just give up and stop claiming 🤡

Call ur state rep!!! I had an issue for MONTHS that unemployment wouldn't fix, called my assemblyman's office and they resolved it in 48 hours. They have special contacts at NYSDOL.

typical new york unemployment nonsense. been dealing with this system for too long. sometimes when you finally get through to a rep they'll tell you they can see you certified even when the system doesn't show it. their computer system is from the stone age i swear

I've been on UI for 6 months and had this happen twice. Both times I just waited and it fixed itself after 2-3 days. Don't certify again - just be patient. If it doesn't fix itself by Friday then start worrying.
