Frequently Asked Questions
Below are some common questions from our customers.
What is Claimyr?
Claimyr is a calling tool that helps you connect with busy unemployment phone lines.
What does Claimyr do with your Social Security Number or PIN number?
We simply send this information along with the call to navigate the phone menu.
Since these numbers are end-to-end encrypted, we can never store or expose this data to us or third-parties.
We do not sell personal information. Our business model is customers paying for connections to busy phone lines.
How does it connect with an unemployment office?
We call a state's designated unemployment phone line on your behalf so you don't have to spend hours trying to recall over and over again.
Can Claimyr help with my claim?
Claimyr does not represent any unemployment agency. We cannot answer questions about the specifics of your claim, nor do we ask for any information about your claim. We do not represent any unemployment agency in any capacity.
We do help you reach a claims specialist who works for your state's unemployment office so they can help you.
Why does Claimyr charge for phone calls?
Claimyr uses Twilio to place and program calls. While Twilio is a very versatile tool, it is very expensive to use. We charge to cover the cost of the calls.
We are working to build improvements to reduce the cost to zero.
The call hung up. Why?
Claimyr cannot and will not hang up your call. Only the state unemployment line can hang up your ongoing call. This does happen from time to time. When you call from your own phone this happens often as well.
While we have no control over the quality of the state's phone lines, we offer free call backs for up to 24 hours.
Is this real?
Yes. We are a registered company headquartered in San Francisco. We were once unemployed folks just like you.
To talk to us, you can email us support@claimyr.com. We are happy to answer any questions you have. Happy to jump on a call too!
How long does it take to get a call back?
The time frame to get a call back entirely depends on the current call volume to your state's unemployment agency. If it's busy, it could take an hour to get connected, sometimes it takes five minutes.
What do you do with my credit card and phone number?
We only use your number to forward calls to your phone or send you SMS messages. We only use your credit card when you authorize us to place a call for you. We do not sell your data. We only exist to place calls for you.
