PFL claim stuck pending - no info on payment delays or eligibility. Help!

Hey everyone, I'm having some serious issues with my PFL claim. It's been pending for a while now and I'm not getting any information. I'm worried about both payment delays and eligibility questions. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on how to get some answers?

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been in the same boat for weeks now. It's like they just throw our claims into a black hole or something. Have you tried calling them? That's what I did, but be prepared to wait on hold for hours.

Calling is a nightmare! I tried 3 times last week and gave up after being on hold for 2+ hours each time. There's gotta be a better way 😫

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through in about 30 minutes that way. Still sucks, but better than hours of hold music šŸŽµ

Thanks for the advice! I'll try calling first thing tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed šŸ¤ž

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work? $20 seems steep just to make a phone call.

Idk man, seems kinda sketchy. Has anyone else tried this?

I get the skepticism, but it honestly saved me so much time and frustration. Worth every penny imo. They even refund you if it doesn't work.

Just tried it and got through in like 30 minutes! šŸ™Œ Thx for the tip!

Here's what I've learned from my PFL claim experience: • Be persistent! Don't give up if you don't hear back right away. • Document everything. Keep a log of all your calls, emails, and claim updates. • Check your online account regularly for updates. • If possible, submit any additional required documents ASAP. • Reach out to your local state representative if you're really stuck. They can sometimes help push things along. • Join Facebook groups or forums specific to PFL claims in your state. They often have good insider tips. Hang in there, OP. The system is frustrating, but you'll get through it eventually!

Wow, thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely start keeping better records of everything. Do you know how long it typically takes for them to process a claim?

Processing times can vary wildly, unfortunately. In my experience, it took about 3-4 weeks, but I've heard of some people waiting 2+ months. It often depends on how complex your case is and if they need additional info.

This whole system is a joke. They make it so complicated on purpose I swear. We pay into this benefit and then they make it impossible to actually use it when we need it. 🤬

Preach! šŸ™Œ It's like they're hoping we'll just give up and go away.

Calm down, Karen. It's not a conspiracy. The system is just overloaded right now.

Has anyone had luck with the online chat feature on the PFL website? I've been thinking about trying that instead of calling.

I tried it last week. Waited 2 hours to connect, then got disconnected after 5 minutes. 0/10 would not recommend lol

Actually, I had a decent experience with it! Got through in about 45 mins and the rep was helpful. Maybe I just got lucky tho

Quick question - does anyone know if theres a way to check the status of your claim online? Or do we HAVE to call?

You can check basic status online, but for detailed info you usually gotta call. It's a pain in the a**
