PFL claim re-establishment filed 4/19 - No updates, what's going on?

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my PFL claim. I filed to re-establish it on April 19th, but I haven't heard anything back yet. It's been a few weeks now, and I'm starting to get worried. Has anyone else experienced delays with their PFL claim recently? Any advice on how to find out what's going on with my claim?

Ugh, I feel ya. The PFL system is such a mess rn. I filed mine back in March and still haven't heard squat. It's like they're purposely trying to make it as difficult as possible for us šŸ™„

Guys, have you tried calling them? Sometimes you gotta be proactive and bug them until they give you answers.

LOL calling them? Might as well try to call the moon. I've been on hold for hours and never got through 🤔

I actually found a way to get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Are you sure it's legit? $20 seems steep just to make a phone call.

I get the skepticism, but I swear it worked for me. After weeks of trying, I finally got through to a real person. Worth every penny imo.

How long did you have to wait once they started calling? I'm desperate but don't wanna waste money if it takes forever.

It took about 2 hours for me, but I just went about my day and they called when an agent was on the line. Way better than being stuck by the phone all day!

Here's what I've learned from my experience with PFL claims: • Be patient: Processing times can vary wildly, especially if there's a backlog • Double-check your application: Make sure you didn't miss any required info • Keep all your documentation: You might need to provide additional proof • Use online portals: Sometimes they update info there before contacting you • Consider reaching out to your local representative: They can sometimes help push things along Hang in there, OP. The system is frustrating, but persistence usually pays off in the end.

This might sound crazy, but try faxing them. I know, I know, what year is it? But I swear, I faxed my docs and got a response within a week. Sometimes the old school methods work best with these dinosaur systems.

Faxing? What's next, sending a telegram? šŸ˜‚ But hey, if it works, it works!

Laugh all you want, but I'm the one with my claim processed šŸ’… Sometimes you gotta play by their outdated rules to win the game.

Anybody else feel like we're all just stuck in a giant game of bureaucratic pinball? Bounce from one department to another, never getting any real answers. It's exhausting.

Preach! šŸ™Œ I swear they make it complicated on purpose so people just give up.

Pro tip: document EVERYTHING. Every call, every letter, every email. You never know when you'll need to prove you've been trying to resolve this. Cover your bases, trust me.
