PFL claim status MIA after 4 weeks - how to check or speed up?
Hey everyone, I'm getting really frustrated with my PFL claim. It's been 4 weeks since I filed and I haven't heard a peep from them. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on how to check my claim status or speed things up? I'm starting to worry about bills piling up while I wait.

Ugh, welcome to the club. I filed 6 weeks ago and still crickets. The waiting game is brutal 😫

•6 weeks?! That's insane. Have you tried calling them?

•Tried calling like a million times. Always get the 'we're experiencing high call volume' message. It's like they don't even want us to reach them 🙄

•Same boat here. 7 weeks and counting. This system is so broken.

I feel your pain, OP. Here's what worked for me: 1. Keep calling every day, as early as possible. 2. Check your online account for any updates or messages. 3. Make sure all your paperwork is complete and correct. 4. If you have a specific question, try emailing them. 5. Consider reaching out to your local representative for help. It's a slow process, but persistence is key. Hang in there!

•Thanks for the detailed advice! I'll definitely try calling more often. Do you know what time they open?

•They open at 8 AM, but I'd start dialing at 7:59. The earlier, the better!

•Great tips! I'd add: document EVERYTHING. Every call, email, letter. It might come in handy later.

Listen up, I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. •Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

•100% legit. I was skeptical too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny.

•How long did you have to wait for the call back?

•It took about 2 hours, but I just went about my day and the call came when an agent was available. Way better than being stuck on hold!

have you checked your spam folder? sometimes their emails end up there. also, double check that you entered your email correctly when you applied

•Barely. Credit cards and the kindness of family. It's not sustainable tho 😞

Pro tip: if you can't get through on the phone, try faxing your inquiry. Sounds old school, but it worked for me!

•What year is it? 1995? 📠😂

•Laugh all you want, but I got a response within a week after faxing. Sometimes old school wins!

Anyone else notice that their online system is always 'under maintenance' when you actually need to use it? 🤔

•OMG yes! It's like they know exactly when I'm gonna log in and shut it down just to mess with me 😤

Guys, I hate to say it, but sometimes you gotta play hardball. I threatened to file a complaint with the state oversight committee and suddenly my claim started moving. Just sayin' 🤷♂️

•I used the online portal. Guess that 'faster' processing is relative 😅
