PFL Claim submitted weeks ago - no notice, no payment. What to do?

Hey everyone, I submitted my PFL claim a few weeks ago and haven't heard anything back. I'm getting worried because I haven't received any notice or payment. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm trying to figure out if they've even received my claim and when I might get paid. Any advice on what to ask when I finally get through to someone?

I found a way to solve PFL claim status and payment, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9AjM0a0GDow

Ugh, I feel you. The waiting game is the worst! 😫 I was in the same boat last month. Have you tried checking your claim status online? Sometimes they update it there before sending any notices.

Thanks for the tip! I've been checking online daily, but it still says 'pending'. It's so frustrating not knowing what's going on.

Pro tip: screenshot everything! I learned the hard way that sometimes the online status can change without notice. Keep a record just in case.

I waited 6 weeks before I heard anything back on my PFL claim. It's ridiculous how long it takes. When you do get through, make sure to ask: 1. If they received your claim 2. If they need any additional info 3. What's the estimated timeframe for processing 4. When you can expect payment Good luck!

Has anyone else noticed that the PFL system seems to be getting worse? I swear it used to be faster a few years ago. Maybe it's just the pandemic backlog, but still... šŸ¤”

Totally agree. I think they're understaffed and overwhelmed. My friend works there and says its a mess behind the scenes.

Yep, it's a dumpster fire šŸ”„ The whole system needs an overhaul tbh

Hey, I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Anyone else tried it?

I was skeptical too, but I can confirm it worked for me. Saved me hours of hold time. Worth every penny imo.

20 bucks to skip the hold? Sign me up! šŸ’ø The government should be ashamed we have to pay extra just to talk to someone.

Here's what I've learned from my PFL claim experience: • Be persistent! Call every day if you have to. • Keep a log of all your calls, including date, time, and who you spoke to. • If possible, submit everything online and keep digital copies. • Follow up with emails after phone calls to create a paper trail. • If you're really stuck, reach out to your local state representative's office. They can sometimes help push things along. Remember, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Don't be afraid to advocate for yourself!

Wow, thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely start keeping better records. Do you think it's worth sending a follow-up email even if I haven't been able to speak to anyone yet?

0 coins

Absolutely! Send an email anyway. It creates a timestamp and shows you've been trying to resolve the issue. Plus, some depts respond faster to emails than calls.

Has anyone tried faxing their documents instead of mailing/uploading? I heard from a friend that sometimes it gets processed faster that way. Might be worth a shot?

Faxing? What year is it, 1995? šŸ˜‚ But for real, if it works, it works. Desperate times call for desperate measures!
