PFL claim submitted in December, still no payment in March. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm at my wits end here. I submitted my PFL claim back in December and it's now March, but I still haven't received any payment. Has anyone else experienced such a long delay? Any advice on how to speed up the process or at least get some information about what's going on with my claim?

Ugh, I feel your pain! I went through something similar last year. Have you tried calling the EDD? It's a nightmare to get through, but it might be worth a shot.

•I've been trying to call for weeks, but I can never get through. It's so frustrating! 😤

•Pro tip: try calling right when they open. I got through once doing that, but it took like 20 attempts lol

•Calling is useless. I spent 3 hours on hold only to be disconnected. The system is broken af 🤡

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•$20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous. The government should fix their broken system instead.

•I get the skepticism, but it seriously worked for me. After weeks of trying, I finally got through and sorted out my issue. Sometimes you gotta spend money to make money, ya know? 🤷♂️

•How long did you have to wait once the call connected?

•It took about an hour and a half, but I didn't have to actively wait. The service called me when an agent picked up.

Here's what I did to finally get my PFL claim processed: 1. Document everything: Keep a log of all your attempts to contact EDD, including dates and times. 2. Contact your state representative: They can often help expedite claims. 3. Submit a request for information in writing: Send a certified letter asking for a status update. 4. Check your online account: Sometimes there are updates or requests for additional info you might miss. 5. Be persistent: Keep calling and emailing. The squeaky wheel gets the grease. Hang in there! It's a frustrating process, but you'll get through it eventually.

I'm in the same boat, submitted in November and still waiting. This is getting ridiculous. How are we supposed to survive without income for months?

•Have you guys considered legal action? There must be some kind of time limit for processing claims.

PSA: There's a new online portal for checking claim status. It's not perfect, but it's better than nothing. Google 'EDD claim status portal' and you should find it.
