PFL claim not processed or paid after 3 weeks - help!

Ugh, I feel your pain! I went through something similar last year. It took them almost 5 weeks to process my claim. The system is so backed up its ridiculous. Have you tried calling them? Sometimes that can help move things along.

3 weeks is actually not that bad compared to some stories I've heard. My cousin waited 2 months for his claim to be processed. The whole system is a joke tbh 🤡

Hey guys, I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Check your online account religiously. Sometimes they update info there without notifying you. 3. If you can, submit any additional documentation they might need, even if they haven't asked for it yet. This can sometimes speed things up. 4. Be persistent but polite when you do get through. The person on the other end is probably overworked and underpaid. 5. Consider reaching out on social media. Some agencies are more responsive there. 6. If all else fails, contact your local ombudsman or state representative. Remember, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Don't give up! 💪

This is why we need serious reform in our benefits system. It's ridiculous that people have to jump through so many hoops just to get what they're entitled to. We should all be writing to our representatives about this!

I'm in a similar boat right now - submitted my PFL claim 2.5 weeks ago and still nothing. It's so stressful when you're counting on that money! I've been trying the early morning call strategy that @Liam mentioned, and while I haven't gotten through yet, I did notice the hold times are shorter around 8:15am vs later in the day. Also, @Dmitry's advice about documenting everything is spot on - I started keeping a spreadsheet of all my call attempts and it's already helped me stay organized.
