PFL claim pending for 2+ months, way past the 2-3 week estimate. Need $ for bills. Any way to speed it up?
My PFL claim has been pending for over 2 months now! They told me it would only take 2-3 weeks to process. I'm getting really frustrated because I need this money to pay my bills. Has anyone else experienced such long delays? Any advice on how to speed up the process?

I found a way to solve long PFL claim processing delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SoQbnDj43-I

Ugh, I feel your pain! I've been waiting for my claim to process for almost 3 months now. It's ridiculous how long they're taking. Have you tried calling them? I've heard some people have had luck getting through and speeding things up.

•I've tried calling so many times, but I can never get through. It's always busy or they hang up on me. 😤 How did you manage to reach someone?

•Honestly, it took me like 50 attempts over several days. I just kept redialing like a maniac. It's exhausting, but sometimes you get lucky. Keep trying!

•Pro tip: try calling right when they open in the morning. That's how I finally got through after weeks of trying!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Are you sure it's legit? $20 seems steep for just a phone call.

•I was skeptical at first too, but I can confirm it's 100% legit. I used it twice now and got through both times. The $20 was worth it to finally talk to someone and get my claim moving.

•How long did you have to wait once they called you back? Did they actually help resolve your issue?

•It took about 2 hours for them to call me back, but I didn't have to sit on hold that whole time. And yes, the agent I spoke to was super helpful and got my claim processed within a week after that call. Totally worth it IMO.

Have you tried reaching out to your local assembly member or state senator? They often have staff dedicated to helping constituents with EDD issues. It's free and can be pretty effective!

This is getting out of hand. The whole system is broken af. They need to hire more people or update their tech or SOMETHING. We shouldn't have to jump through hoops just to get what we're entitled to. 🤬

•Preach! 🙌 It's like they're purposely making it difficult so people just give up.

•I heard they're still using a computer system from the 1980s. No wonder everything's so slow!

Here's what I've learned from dealing with PFL claims for the past year: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your calls, emails, and correspondence. 2. Be persistent. Call regularly, but be polite to the agents - they're overworked too. 3. Use the online portal to check your claim status and upload any requested documents ASAP. 4. If you're really stuck, contact your local representative or the PFL ombudsman. 5. Join Facebook groups or forums dedicated to PFL claims. Sometimes you can get insider tips. 6. If you can afford it, consider using a service like Claimyr to get through to an agent. 7. Know your rights. Read up on the PFL laws and timelines. Hang in there, OP. It's a frustrating process, but you'll get through it!

•Mood. I'm convinced they're just hoping we'll all forget about it and move on. 😂😭

Have you checked your spam folder? Sometimes important emails from EDD end up there. Also, make sure your contact info is up to date in their system.

Unpopular opinion: maybe we should all show up at the EDD office and protest. Might get some media attention and force them to address the delays. Who's with me? ✊

•I'm down! Let's organize this. We could make some noise on social media too. #EDDFail or something like that.

•Idk man, seems like a waste of time. They don't care about us little people. 😒

•That's exactly why we need to make ourselves heard! If we don't speak up, nothing will change.
