PFL claim filed weeks ago, no response. Anyone else experiencing delays?

Hey everyone, I filed my PFL claim a few weeks ago and I'm still waiting to hear back. It's been radio silence and I'm starting to get worried. Has anyone else experienced long delays with their PFL claims recently? Any tips on how to check the status or speed things up? I'm getting anxious about bills piling up while I wait.

I found a way to solve PFL claim delays and silence, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0I_C-G-tf4

Ugh, I feel you. I've been waiting on my PFL claim for over a month now. It's so frustrating! Have you tried calling them? I've heard some people have had luck getting through.

I've tried calling but keep getting stuck in this endless phone tree. It's driving me crazy! 😫

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 20 minutes on hold that way.

Thanks for the tip! I'll give that a shot tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed šŸ¤ž

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

I'm skeptical. How do we know this isn't just some scam?

I get the skepticism, but I promise it's legit. I was desperate and took a chance. Saved me hours of frustration. But yeah, do your own research!

Can confirm, I used it last week. Pricey but worth it for my sanity lol

The whole system is broken af. I've been waiting 2 months for my claim to be processed. It's ridiculous how they expect people to survive while they take their sweet time. 🤬

Have you tried reaching out to your local representative? Sometimes they can help speed things up.

Here's what I've learned from my experience and research about PFL claims: • Processing times can vary wildly, from 2-8 weeks on average • If you haven't heard anything after 30 days, definitely try to contact them • Make sure all your paperwork is complete and accurate - missing info can cause major delays • Keep copies of EVERYTHING you submit • If you can't get through on the phone, try emailing or using their online portal • Document all your attempts to contact them • As a last resort, consider reaching out to your state representative for help Hang in there, OP. I know it's tough, but keep pushing!

Wow, thank you so much for this detailed info! Really helpful. I'll double-check all my paperwork tonight.

This should be pinned at the top of the subreddit. Super useful!

idk if this helps, but I had success by faxing my documents instead of mailing them. Seemed to speed things up a bit.

Anyone else notice that claims filed in September seem to be taking longer? I wonder if there's a backlog or something.

Now that you mention it, yeah. Maybe end of fiscal year stuff? šŸ¤”

I filed in August and got approved pretty quick. Might be onto something here.

Hot take: what if we all showed up at their office? They can't ignore us then! Who's with me? 😤

Lol, I'm picturing a bunch of sleep-deprived parents with babies storming the PFL office 🤣

As tempting as that sounds, pretty sure that would just make them process claims even slower šŸ˜…
