PFL status update taking forever - any way to speed it up?
Anyone else waiting forever for their PFL status update? It's been weeks and I haven't heard anything. Starting to get worried about my benefits. Any advice on how to speed things up or at least get some info?

I found a way to solve PFL status update delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ahgq0jwd2kU

Ugh, I feel you. I've been waiting for over a month now. It's like they just forgot about us or something. Have you tried calling? I heard some people had luck getting through.

•I tried calling but kept getting stuck on hold forever. It's so frustrating! How long did you wait before you got worried?

•I started getting antsy after about 2 weeks. But I've heard some people waiting 2 months or more! The system is so backed up rn 😩

•2 months?! That's insane. How are we supposed to survive without income for that long? The whole system needs an overhaul.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this? $20 seems steep just to make a phone call.

•I know it sounds crazy, but it really did work for me. Saved me hours of frustration. The $20 was worth it to finally get some answers.

•Idk man, seems kinda sketchy. How do we know its not a scam?

•Not a scam, I promise! They don't ask for any personal info beyond your phone number to call you back. It's just an automated system that waits on hold for you.

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes they update the status there before sending any notifications. Worth a shot!

I'm in the same boat. Been waiting 6 weeks now. I've heard rumors that they're prioritizing covid-related claims. Anyone know if that's true?

•I don't think thats true. My claim was covid-related and I'm still waiting. Seems like theyre just slow across the board 🐌

Pro tip: if you can, try calling right when they open. I got through after only 20 minutes on hold that way. Good luck!

•What time do they open? Might have to set an alarm lol

•I think it's 8am Pacific time. Set that alarm and get your coffee ready! 😴☕

Here's what I've learned from my experience and research about PFL status updates: 1. Processing times vary wildly, from 2 weeks to 2+ months. 2. Online account updates are often faster than mail notifications. 3. Calling can help, but be prepared for long wait times. 4. If you're facing financial hardship, mention this when you do get through - it might help prioritize your claim. 5. Double-check that all your paperwork was submitted correctly. A small error can cause big delays. 6. Some people have had success reaching out to their local state representative's office for help. 7. Keep detailed records of all your communications with the PFL office. Remember, persistence is key. Don't give up, and don't be afraid to advocate for yourself. The system is overwhelmed, but your benefits are important. Hang in there!

•Wow, thank you so much for this detailed response! This is really helpful. I'll definitely try reaching out to my state rep if I don't hear back soon.

Have you tried faxing your documents? I know it sounds old school, but I've heard some people say it's faster than mailing or uploading online.
