PFL claim filed over a month ago, no payments yet. Anyone else experiencing delays?

I filed for PFL over a month ago and still haven't received any payments. Has anyone else experienced long delays? I'm starting to get worried about my finances. Any advice on how to check the status or speed things up?

Ugh, same boat here. Filed 6 weeks ago and crickets 🦗 The system is so broken, it's ridiculous. Have you tried calling? I've been on hold for hours with no luck.

Calling is useless. I tried for days and couldnt get thru. Its like they dont want us to get our benefits 🙄

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 mins on hold that way.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds sketchy. Is this legit? $20 seems steep just to make a phone call.

I get the skepticism, but it's totally legit. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

How long did it take for them to get through? I'm desperate but $20 is a lot rn

It took about 2 hours for me, but I didn't have to do anything. Just got a call when they had an agent. Way better than being stuck on hold yourself.

Here's what I've learned after dealing with PFL for years: 1. Be patient. It can take 4-6 weeks for initial processing. 2. Make sure ALL your docs are submitted correctly. One missing form can delay everything. 3. Use the online portal to check status if possible. 4. If you must call, do it early in the morning. 5. Contact your local rep if it's been over 8 weeks. They can sometimes help. Hang in there! The system sucks, but you'll get your money eventually.

I'm in the exact same situation! Filed on 2/10 and nothing yet. This waiting game is killing me. Let me know if you find out anything!

Will do! Glad (but also not glad) to hear I'm not alone. This whole process is so stressful.

Plot twist: what if they're using our PFL money to fund a secret underground bunker for when the aliens invade? 👽🛸 #JustSayin

I'm just saying, have you ever seen an EDD employee and an alien in the same room? 🤔

Anyone else notice that it seems to go faster if you filed online vs paper forms? Or am I just imagining things?

Definitely faster online. Paper forms probably end up in some poor intern's 'to-do' pile 😅
