PFL claim stuck in "Pending Processing" for a month, no payment received. Help!

Has anyone else been waiting forever for their PFL claim to be processed? I submitted mine online over a month ago and it's still stuck in "Pending Processing" status. I can't get through to anyone on the phone or online to help. It's been a month and I haven't received any payment. This is so frustrating! Any advice on how to get this moving?

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. Been waiting for 6 weeks now. It's ridiculous how slow they are. Have you tried faxing them? I heard that sometimes works better than online submissions.

Faxing? What year is it, 1995? 🤣 But seriously, I might try that if it actually works. Do you have the fax number?

Lol I know right? But desperate times... Here's the number I used: 1-855-342-3781. Good luck!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Has anyone else tried it?

Yeah, I was skeptical at first too, but it really worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration.

20 bucks? That's highway robbery! The system is so broken that we have to pay extra just to talk to someone? smh

I get it, but for me it was worth it. Time is money, and I was wasting so much time on hold.

Have you tried reaching out to your local assembly member's office? They can sometimes help push things through faster.

This is why I always tell people to have an emergency fund. You can't rely on the government to be timely with these things.

Wow, thanks for the helpful advice Captain Hindsight 🙄 Not everyone has the luxury of saving up months of expenses.

Here's what I've learned from dealing with PFL claims: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your calls, emails, and submissions. 2. Be persistent. Call every day if you have to. 3. Use multiple channels - phone, email, fax, and online portal. 4. If you're not getting anywhere, escalate to a supervisor. 5. Reach out to your local government representatives. 6. Check if your employer's HR can help push things along. 7. Make sure all your documentation is complete and accurate. 8. Consider using a paid service like Claimyr if you're really stuck. 9. Join Facebook groups or forums for more support and advice. 10. If all else fails, consider filing a complaint with the state labor board. Hang in there, OP. It's a frustrating process, but keep pushing!

I'm an EDD employee (not official capacity here). The system is super backed up right now due to budget cuts and increased claims. We're doing our best, but it's tough. My advice: make sure all your docs are in order and keep trying to reach out. Sorry you're dealing with this. 😕

Thanks for the insider perspective. Must be rough on your end too. Any tips for getting through the phone system?

Honestly, early mornings are usually best. Like right when we open. But it's still a crapshoot.
