PFL application still processing after 1+ month - EDD delays?
I submitted my PFL application over a month ago and it's still showing as processing. Has anyone else experienced this kind of delay? It's been way longer than I expected and I'm starting to get worried. Any advice on what I should do or who I should contact?

I found a way to solve PFL application processing delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYAVY7ZYiyo

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. Applied 6 weeks ago and still nothing. The waiting game is killing me 😫

•6 weeks? That's rough. Have you tried calling them? Sometimes that can speed things up.

•Yeah, I've tried calling but its impossible to get through. Just endless hold times and then they hang up on you. 🤬

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 20 minutes on hold that way!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

•Yeah, it's totally legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

•20 bucks? That's highway robbery! The government should make it easier to reach them without having to pay extra.

•I get it, but think about how much your time is worth. For me, not sitting on hold for hours was worth the cost.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Keep checking your online account daily. Sometimes updates happen without notification. 2. If no change after 6 weeks, definitely call them. Be persistent. 3. Make sure all your docs were submitted correctly. One missing piece can hold up the whole process. 4. Contact your local assembly member's office. They can sometimes expedite things. 5. If you're in dire financial straits, explain that when you call. It might help prioritize your case. Hang in there! The system is swamped but they'll get to you eventually.

lol welcome to the wonderful world of government efficiency 🤡 I swear they're using carrier pigeons to process these applications

•Carrier pigeons? You're giving them too much credit. It's probably a team of snails with abacuses 🐌🧮

•LMAO you're right, my bad. Snails are way more on brand for the EDD 💀

Has anyone heard about any system upgrades or policy changes that might be causing delays? I remember reading something about them implementing new fraud prevention measures.

•Yeah, I heard they added some new identity verification steps. Might be slowing things down.

•Great, more red tape. 🙄 As if the process wasn't slow enough already.

Guys, I'm freaking out. I'm about to miss my rent payment because of this delay. Any ideas for emergency assistance while we wait?

•Check with local charities or churches. Some offer temporary rent assistance. Also, talk to your landlord ASAP. They might be willing to work with you if you explain the situation.

Plot twist: what if we all show up at their office with sleeping bags and camp out until they process our claims? Who's in? ⛺️😂

•I'm down! We can call it Occupy EDD lol

•Knowing them, they'd probably just form a committee to study the campout for 6 months before taking any action 🤦♂️
