PFL application still processing after a month - what to do?

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. Applied 6 weeks ago and still nothing. The waiting game is killing me 😫

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. Used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Here's what I've learned after dealing with PFL for years: 1. Be patient. Processing times can vary wildly depending on their workload. 2. Double-check that you submitted ALL required documents. Missing stuff can cause major delays. 3. If it's been over 6 weeks, definitely try to contact them. 4. Keep an eye on your mail. Sometimes they send requests for additional info that can get overlooked. 5. If you're really stuck, consider reaching out to your local state representative. They can sometimes help push things along. Hang in there, OP! The system is frustrating, but you'll get through it eventually.

Plot twist: the PFL office is actually run by sloths. That's why everything takes foreverrrrr 🦥😂

I heard they're super backlogged bc of all the covid related leaves. Might be why its taking so long for everyone

KEEP CALLING THEM!!! Don't give up. I had to call like 50 times before I got through, but once I did, they resolved my issue in like 10 minutes. Its annoying AF but worth it in the end.

Anyone else think its crazy that in 2024 we still cant get a simple online status update? Like, how hard would it be to give us some actual info instead of just 'processing' for weeks on end? 🙄

Protip: if you can't get through on the phone, try reaching out on Twitter. Sometimes their social media team is more responsive than the actual call center.

I'm dealing with the exact same thing! Applied 5 weeks ago and still stuck on "processing." It's so frustrating not knowing what's happening or if there's an issue with my application. I've tried calling but like everyone else mentioned, can't get through. Thanks for posting this - at least I know I'm not alone in this mess. Going to try some of the suggestions here, especially calling right when they open. This whole system really needs an overhaul 😤
