Here's what I've learned after dealing with this for months: 1. Persistence is key. Keep calling, even if it feels hopeless. 2. Try different times of day. Early morning and late afternoon seem to work best. 3. Be prepared with all your info before you call. Have your claim number, ID, and any relevant documents ready. 4. If you get a unhelpful agent, politely end the call and try again. Some are more knowledgeable than others. 5. Consider using a call-back service if you're really stuck. It costs money, but it might be worth it if you're desperate. 6. Check for any Spanish-language community organizations in your area. They might be able to help or provide resources. 7. Document everything. Write down who you talked to, when, and what they said. Hope this helps! Hang in there, OP. We're all in the same boat.
This system is so broken. We pay into it, but when we need it, its like pulling teeth to get our benefits. Something needs to change!
Not to be that guy, but did you make sure you filled out everything correctly? I had to resubmit twice because I missed a tiny detail on the form 🤦♂️

Has anyone had luck with the online chat feature on the PFL website? I've been thinking about trying that instead of calling.

•I tried it last week. Waited 2 hours to connect, then got disconnected after 5 minutes. 0/10 would not recommend lol

•Actually, I had a decent experience with it! Got through in about 45 mins and the rep was helpful. Maybe I just got lucky tho

Quick question - does anyone know if theres a way to check the status of your claim online? Or do we HAVE to call?

•You can check basic status online, but for detailed info you usually gotta call. It's a pain in the a**
