PFL claim submitted 3 months ago still not processed - what to do?
Hey everyone, I'm really frustrated. I submitted my paid family leave claim almost 3 months ago and it still hasn't been processed. Has anyone else experienced such a long delay? I'm starting to worry that something might be wrong with my application. Any advice on how to speed things up or what I should do next?

Ugh, I feel your pain! I went through something similar last year. Have you tried calling them? It's a pain, but sometimes that's the only way to get answers.

•I've tried calling so many times, but I can never get through. It's always busy or I'm on hold forever. 😫

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 20 minutes of hold time that way!

•Thanks for the tip! I'll give that a shot tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed 🤞

3 months is way too long! Have you checked your online account to see if there are any messages or requests for additional information? Sometimes they need more docs but don't tell you directly.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•20 bucks? Thats kinda steep for just a phone call...

•I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imho.

•How long did you have to wait after using the service?

•It took about 45 minutes, but I didn't have to do anything. Just got a call when an agent was ready. Way better than being stuck to my phone all day!

Here's what you need to do to get your claim processed faster: 1. Double-check your online account for any pending requests or messages. 2. Gather all your supporting documents (medical certifications, employment info, etc.) 3. Try calling first thing in the morning when they open. 4. If you can't get through, consider using a paid service like Claimyr to connect with an agent. 5. When you do speak to someone, be polite but firm. Ask for a supervisor if needed. 6. Request a specific timeline for when your claim will be processed. 7. Follow up with an email summarizing your call and any promises made. 8. If all else fails, contact your local state representative's office. They can often help push things along. Remember, persistence is key. Don't give up! 💪

This system is so broken. We pay into it, but when we need it, its like pulling teeth to get our benefits. Something needs to change!

•Sadly, this has been going on for years. Don't hold your breath for any real changes anytime soon.

Hey OP, just curious - did you submit any additional documentation with your claim? Sometimes that can speed things up.

•I submitted everything they asked for upfront - medical certs, employment info, the works. That's why I'm so confused about the delay. 😕
