PFL claim submitted a month ago - no response or payment. What to do?
I submitted a paid family leave claim almost a month ago and haven't heard anything back or received any payment. Has anyone else experienced long delays with their PFL claims? What should I do next?

I found a way to solve EDD PFL claim delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UsELv-X94UU

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. Submitted my claim 6 weeks ago and crickets. The EDD is such a mess rn 🤦♂️

•6 weeks?! That's insane. Have you tried calling them?

•Tried calling like 50 times, always get the 'we're too busy' message. It's a joke 🤡

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 3 tries doing that!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. Used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

•Totally legit. I was skeptical too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo

•How long did you have to wait for the callback?

•About 2 hours. Way better than spending all day hitting redial lol

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes they update info there without sending notifications.

I hate to be that person, but make sure you filled out everything correctly. I thought I was waiting forever, turns out I made a stupid mistake on my form 🤦♀️

•Good point, I'll double check. But I'm pretty sure I filled everything out right...

Here's what you need to do: 1. Check your online account for any updates or requests for additional info 2. If nothing there, try calling first thing in the morning (8:00 AM sharp) 3. If you can't get through, consider using a paid service like Claimyr to connect you 4. While waiting, gather all your documentation (paystubs, medical certs, etc.) 5. If it's been over 30 days, contact your local state representative. They can sometimes expedite claims 6. Keep a log of all your attempts to contact EDD Remember, persistence is key. Don't give up! The system is overwhelmed, but you'll get through eventually. Good luck!

Have you tried faxing your documents? Sometimes old school methods work better with these dinosaur agencies lol
