PFL Application Stuck Since April - No Forms or Updates Received
Hey everyone, I'm having an issue with PFL (Paid Family Leave). I applied back in April and haven't received any forms or updates since then. It's been over a month now and I'm starting to get worried. Has anyone else experienced this kind of delay? Any advice on what I should do next?

Ugh, I feel your pain! I had a similar issue last year. Have you tried calling them? Sometimes they 'forget' to send out forms 🙄

•I've been trying to call but can never get through. It's so frustrating!

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I usually have better luck getting through then.

Check your spam folder! I thought I hadn't received anything either, but turns out all the emails were going straight to spam. Worth a look!

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work?

•Yeah, it actually does! I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration.

•$20 seems steep just to make a phone call 🤔

•I get that, but consider how much your time is worth. For me, not having to sit on hold for hours was totally worth it.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Double-check your mailing address on file. Sometimes forms get sent back if there's a tiny error. 2. Call PFL and ask them to verify if any forms were sent out. Get the date and tracking number if possible. 3. If they say forms were sent, ask them to resend. Make sure they have your correct email too. 4. Keep a log of all your calls and who you spoke with. 5. If you still don't get anywhere, consider reaching out to your local assembly member's office. They can sometimes help push things along. Hang in there! The system can be a real pain, but persistence usually pays off.

Have you checked the PFL website? Sometimes they update your claim status there before sending anything out.

•I did check, but there's no update there either. It's like my application vanished into thin air.

•Oof, that's rough. Definitely time to get on the phone with them then. Good luck!

Not to freak you out, but I'd double check that you actually applied through the right channel. I thought I had applied but turns out I had used some third-party site that looked official but wasn't 😱

idk if this helps, but I had a similar issue and it turned out there was a glitch in their system. When I finally got through to someone, they had to manually push my application through. might be worth asking about that when you call.

•Oh wow, I hadn't even considered that possibility. I'll definitely ask about it, thanks!
