PFL Final Payment Delay After RTW - What to Do?
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle here. I finished my Paid Family Leave and went back to work on January 20th, but I still haven't gotten my final PFL payment. It's been a few weeks now and I'm starting to get worried. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on what I should do or who I should contact? I'm not sure if there's something I'm missing or if this is just how long it usually takes. Thanks in advance for any help!

Ugh, I feel ya. The PFL system can be such a pain sometimes. Have you tried calling them directly? It might be worth a shot to see if there's any hold-up on their end.

•I've been trying to call, but the wait times are insane. I swear I spent half my day on hold yesterday and still didn't get through 😫

•Pro tip: call right when they open. You might have better luck getting through!

I had a similar issue last year. Turns out they needed some additional documentation from my employer. Might be worth checking if they're missing anything from you or your work.

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes they post updates there about pending payments or issues with claims.

•Good idea, I'll take a look. Tbh I kinda forgot about the online portal 😅

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work?

•Yeah, it actually does! I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

•20 bucks tho? That's kinda steep just to talk to someone...

•I get it, but think about how much time you waste on hold. For me, my time is worth more than that. Plus, the peace of mind was priceless.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Double-check your online account for any messages or requests for additional info. 2. Call the PFL office first thing in the morning (like 7:59 AM). 3. If you can't get through, try emailing them with all your details - claim number, return to work date, etc. 4. Contact your HR department. Sometimes they need to confirm your return to work date. 5. If all else fails, consider reaching out to your local state representative's office. They can sometimes help push things along. Remember, persistence is key. Don't let up until you get your money! Good luck!

Have you checked if there were any holidays or processing delays? Sometimes that can slow things down.

Oof, I'm in the same boat. Been waiting on my final payment for almost a month now. This system is so broken 😤

•A month?! That's ridiculous. I hope you get your payment soon!
