PFL claim resubmitted a month ago, no updates from EDD. Anyone else experiencing delays?
I resubmitted my paid family leave claim about a month ago and still haven't heard anything back. Has anyone else experienced long wait times for updates on their claims? It's getting frustrating not knowing what's going on.

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. Submitted my claim 6 weeks ago and radio silence since then. The EDD is such a mess rn 🤦♂️

•6 weeks? Amateur hour. Try 3 months with no update. This system is beyond broken.

•Yall need to chill. These things take time. They're probably swamped with claims.

•@profile 3 easy for you to say. Some of us have bills to pay and mouths to feed. 🙄

Have you tried calling them? Sometimes you gotta be proactive and bug them for updates.

•I've tried calling but can never get through. It's always busy or I'm on hold forever 😫

•Pro tip: call right when they open. You might have better luck getting through.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. Used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. •Sounds sketchy. Is this legit? Anyone else tried it?

•$20 just to talk to someone? That's highway robbery!

•I get the skepticism, but it seriously saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

Here's what I've learned from dealing with EDD for the past year: 1. Document everything. Keep copies of all your submissions. 2. Follow up regularly. Set reminders to check your claim status weekly. 3. Be persistent with calls. Yes, it sucks, but sometimes it's the only way. 4. Check your spam folder. Sometimes important emails end up there. 5. Consider reaching out to your local assembly member. They can sometimes expedite things. Hang in there, OP. The system is frustrating, but don't give up!

Anyone else notice how the EDD website is always "undergoing maintenance" when you actually need to use it? 🙃

Hot take: maybe if we stopped electing clowns who don't care about working people, we wouldn't have these issues. Just sayin' 🤷♂️

•Here we go again. Can we not turn every thread into a political debate? 🙄
