PFL claim still processing after a month - anyone else experiencing delays?
Has anyone else been waiting forever for their paid family leave to process? It's been a month and I still haven't heard anything. I'm starting to get worried about my finances. Anyone know how long this usually takes or if there's a way to speed things up?

Ugh, I feel you. I've been waiting for 6 weeks now. It's ridiculous how long they make us wait. Have you tried calling them? I heard that sometimes helps move things along.

•I've tried calling but can never get through. It's so frustrating! How did you manage to reach someone?

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Are you sure it's legit?

•Yeah, I was skeptical at first too, but it really worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration.

•How exactly does it work? Do you have to give them your personal info?

•Nah, you just put in the number you want them to call and they handle the rest. When an agent picks up, they connect you. Simple as that.

A month? That's nothing. I've been waiting for 3 months now. The system is completely broken. 🤬

Here's what I've learned about the paid family leave process after going through it twice: 1. Processing times vary wildly, but 4-6 weeks is average 2. Make sure ALL your paperwork is filled out correctly. One tiny mistake can cause major delays 3. If you haven't heard anything after 30 days, definitely try to contact them 4. Keep copies of everything you submit 5. If you're in dire financial straits, mention that when you call. Sometimes they can expedite 6. Check your online account regularly for updates 7. Don't forget to file your continued claim forms every two weeks Hope this helps! Hang in there, OP!

Has anyone else noticed that the processing times seem to be getting worse? I swear it only took like 2 weeks when my coworker did this last year.

•Yeah, I've heard they're super understaffed right now. Covid backlog + budget cuts = 💩show

I'm going through the exact same thing right now! Filed my PFL claim 5 weeks ago and still showing "pending" status. It's so stressful not knowing when the money will come through, especially when you're already dealing with family care responsibilities. I've been checking the online portal obsessively but no updates. Really hoping things move faster for both of us soon! 🤞
