PFL application stuck in limbo for months - no response from EDD. Help!
I've been waiting for months to get my paid family leave application approved. I've sent in everything they asked for, but still nothing has happened. I've called so many times and no one ever answers. This is causing a lot of stress for my family. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on how to get through to someone or speed up the process?

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. It's been 3 months for me and still radio silence. The system is so broken 😤

•3 months? Amateur hour 🙄 I've been waiting for 6 months now. This is ridiculous!

•Guys, have you tried contacting your local representative? Sometimes they can help speed things up.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•$20 just to talk to someone? That's highway robbery! 🤬

•I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. After months of trying, I finally got through. Worth every penny imo

Here's what worked for me: 1. Send a formal email to their customer service address. Be polite but firm. 2. Call right when they open in the morning. Like, the second they open. 3. If you can, visit an office in person. Bring all your documents. 4. Keep a log of all your attempts to contact them. This can be useful if you need to escalate. 5. As someone else mentioned, contacting your local rep can help. Don't give up! It's frustrating but persistence pays off. Good luck!

•Thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely try calling right when they open. Do you know what time that is?

•They open at 8am Pacific Time. Set your alarm and be ready to dial! 😊

Pro tip: if you get through to someone, ask for their direct extension or email. Makes follow-ups way easier.

Anyone else think its crazy we gotta jump through all these hoops just to get what we're entitled to? The system is a joke 🤡

•Tinfoil hat time: maybe they do? 🤔 Less payouts = more money for them
