PFL Payment Delay: Weeks of Waiting, Need Advice on Speeding Up Process

Hey everyone, I'm still waiting on my paid family leave payment and it's been weeks. Anyone else dealing with this? I'm getting worried because bills are piling up and I really need this money. Has anyone had any luck getting through to someone on the phone or speeding up the process? Any advice would be appreciated!

Ugh, I feel your pain! I've been waiting for my PFL payment for over a month now. It's so frustrating. Have you tried calling them? I've been trying to get through but it's like impossible.

I've tried calling but keep getting stuck in this endless phone tree. It's driving me crazy! 😫

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 minutes on hold that way.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

20 bucks? Idk man, seems kinda steep just to make a phone call.

I get the skepticism, but it seriously saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imho.

Can you give more details about how it works? Do they guarantee you'll get through?

They don't guarantee it, but in my experience it worked great. You just put in the number you want them to call, and they handle all the menu options and waiting. When a real person picks up, they connect you.

Here's what worked for me to speed things up: 1. Double-check all your paperwork is complete and accurate 2. Submit any missing documents ASAP 3. If possible, have your employer confirm they've submitted their part 4. Keep a log of all your calls and attempts to contact them 5. Consider reaching out to your local state representative's office - they can sometimes help push things through Hang in there! It's a frustrating process but you'll get through it.

Thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely try reaching out to my state rep, hadn't thought of that.

Totally agree. We're already dealing with family issues, why make it harder?

Has anyone tried applying pressure through social media? Sometimes publicly calling them out on Twitter or Facebook can get their attention.

Just a heads up, I heard they're super backed up because of staff shortages. Might explain the delays were all experiencing.

That tracks. My friend works in a government office (not PFL) and says they're swamped everywhere.

Quick question for those who've been through this - how long did it take for your payment to come through once it was approved? Trying to plan my budget here...

For me it was about 5 business days after approval. Hang in there!
