PFL claim status update taking forever - what to ask when I finally reach someone?
Hey everyone, I filed for paid family leave a few weeks ago and I'm still waiting to hear back. Anyone know how long it usually takes to get an update? I'm starting to get worried about the bills piling up. Any tips on what questions I should ask when I finally get through to someone?

I found a way to solve paid family leave delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVytLgHgOvM

Ugh, I feel ya. The waiting game is the worst. When I filed last year, it took about 3-4 weeks to hear anything. Have you tried checking your online account for updates? Sometimes they post stuff there before calling.

•Thanks for the tip! I've been checking online but no updates yet. Guess I'll just have to be patient 😩

•3-4 weeks? Lucky you! I've been waiting for 2 months now. This system is so broken 🤬

•Yikes, 2 months?! That's insane. Have you tried calling them? I know its a pain but sometimes you gotta be the squeaky wheel

Here's what you should ask: 1. What's the current status of my claim? 2. Are there any documents missing or issues with my application? 3. When can I expect to receive my first payment? 4. Is there anything I can do to speed up the process? Hope this helps! Hang in there 💪

•Great list! I'd add: Ask if theres a specific person or department handling your claim. Sometimes you can get direct contact info.

Pro tip: I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Check out this video: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•I get the skepticism, but it seriously worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo

•Can you explain more about how it works? Do they give you a specific time when they'll call you back?

•Sure! You choose a time slot, and they start calling then. When they get through, your phone rings and you're connected to the agent. No more endless hold music! 🎵🚫

have you tried faxing your documents? sometimes that gets faster results than mailing or uploading online. just a thought 🤷♂️

•Preach! 🙌 It's like they're purposely making it difficult. Stay strong, we're all in this sinking ship together 🚢

Hey OP, don't lose hope! I know it's frustrating, but keep at it. Make sure you document everything - dates you called, who you spoke to, what they said. It might come in handy if you need to escalate your case. Sending positive vibes your way! ✨
