PFL claim stuck since mid-December, no updates or funds. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm really frustrated with my paid family leave claim. I submitted all the required paperwork over a month ago and haven't heard anything back. No updates, no money, nothing. It's been radio silence since mid-December. Anyone else dealing with this? The lack of funds is starting to stress me out big time.

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been waiting on my claim for almost 2 months now. It's like they just throw our applications into a black hole or something. Have you tried calling them? I've heard some people have had luck getting through.

•I've tried calling so many times, but I always get stuck in this endless phone tree. It's driving me crazy! 😤

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 minutes on hold that way.

•Thanks for the tip! I'll give that a shot tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed 🤞

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work? How long did you have to wait?

•It actually does! I was skeptical at first too, but I got through in about 2 hours. Way better than spending all day trying to call myself.

•20 bucks tho? Thats kinda steep when were all here cuz we need $$$

•I get it, but for me it was worth it to finally get some answers. Plus, I figured I was losing more money each day my claim wasn't processed.

The whole system is broken af. They expect us to just wait around with no money while they take their sweet time? It's not like bills and rent just magically stop. 🙄

Have you tried reaching out to your local representative? Sometimes they can light a fire under the department's ass and get things moving.

•I hadn't even thought of that! Do you know how I would go about contacting them?

•Just google your state assembly member or senator. Most have forms on their websites for constituent services. Explain your situation and they might be able to help!

Okay, let me break this down for you. I've been through this rodeo before and here's what you need to do: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your submissions, dates, and any communication attempts. 2. Double-check that you've submitted ALL required docs. Sometimes they don't tell you if something's missing. 3. Call first thing in the morning, right when they open. Be prepared to wait. 4. If calling fails, try emailing. Include your claim number and all relevant details. 5. Reach out to your local state representative or senator. They can often expedite claims. 6. Check if there's an online portal where you can view your claim status. 7. If all else fails, consider filing a formal complaint with the department. Remember, persistence is key. Don't give up! The squeaky wheel gets the grease in these situations.

Have you checked your spam folder? Sometimes their emails end up there. Also, make sure you're logging into the online portal regularly for updates.

•Good call on the spam folder, I'll double-check. And yeah, I've been obsessively refreshing the portal but no changes so far.
