PFL claim filed 1 month ago, no updates. What to do?

Hey everyone, I filed my Paid Family Leave claim over a month ago and still haven't heard anything back. It's been radio silence since January 23rd. I'm starting to get worried. Has anyone else experienced long delays like this? Any advice on what I should do next or who I should contact? I'm not sure if I should just keep waiting or if there's something I'm missing. This is my first time dealing with PFL and I'm feeling pretty lost.

Ugh, welcome to the club. 🙄 I filed mine back in December and I'm STILL waiting. The system is so broken, it's ridiculous. Have you tried calling them? Good luck getting through tho, it's like winning the lottery.

Calling is a nightmare fr. I spent 3 days trying to get through last week. Finally got someone and they couldnt even help smh

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 mins on hold that way!

30 mins? You got lucky! I've been on hold for HOURS before 😭

I feel your pain, OP. The waiting game is brutal. Here's what I'd recommend: 1. Double-check your online account to make sure they haven't sent any messages or requests for additional info. 2. Try calling first thing in the morning, like right when they open. 3. If you can't get through on the phone, send a message through your online account. 4. Consider reaching out to your local state representative's office. Sometimes they can help push things along. 5. Make sure you've submitted all required documentation. Sometimes they're waiting on something and don't tell you. Hang in there! It's a slow process, but you'll get there eventually.

Thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely try calling first thing tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed 🤞

This is solid advice. I second contacting your state rep - they helped me when I was stuck in limbo for months!

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds sketchy af. Is this legit?

20 bucks? Thats highway robbery!

I get the skepticism, but it's legit. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo

How long did it take to get through using this?

0 coins

It took about 2 hours, but I didn't have to sit there listening to hold music. They just called me when an agent was on the line.

have you checked your spam folder? sometimes their emails end up there. happened to me and i almost missed an important deadline 😬

Oh snap, I didn't even think of that! Checking now, thanks for the tip!

The whole system is a joke. They expect us to wait months while bills pile up? How are we supposed to survive? 🤬

Preach! 👏 It's like they forget we have rent and food to pay for

ikr? and dont even get me started on the amount they pay out. its a drop in the bucket

Has anyone tried faxing their documents? I heard it can sometimes be faster than mailing or uploading online. Might be worth a shot if you're desperate.

What year is it, 1995? 😂 But for real, does this actually work?

0 coins

Lol I know it sounds ancient, but I swear it worked for my cousin. Sometimes old school is the way to go 🤷‍♂️

Unpopular opinion: maybe we should all show up at their office in person. Bet theyd process claims real quick then 😤

Lmao imagine the chaos. But lowkey... I'm down 👀

Pretty sure that's how you get arrested, not how you get your claim processed faster 🤦‍♂️
