PFL claim processing for 6 weeks - no response. What to do?
Hey everyone, I'm dealing with a frustrating situation. My paid family leave claim has been processing for 6 weeks now, and I still haven't heard anything back. Has anyone else experienced such a long wait time? I'm starting to get worried and could really use some advice on what to do next.

I found a way to solve paid leave claim processing delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUM8JS1Ud78

Ugh, I feel your pain! I went through something similar last year. It's ridiculous how long these things can take. Have you tried calling them? Sometimes that can help speed things up.

•I've been trying to call, but it's impossible to get through. The lines are always busy or I get disconnected. It's so frustrating!

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I mean like, the second they open. Set an alarm and everything. It's annoying but it worked for me.

•Calling is useless tbh. I spent hours trying and never got through. There has to be a better way 🤔

6 weeks?! That's insane. I thought mine was bad at 4 weeks. The system is totally broken. Have you tried reaching out to your local representative? Sometimes they can help push things along.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Wow, that sounds too good to be true. Does it really work? $20 seems steep but I guess it's worth it if you actually get through.

•Yeah, it really does work! I was skeptical at first too, but I was desperate. It saved me hours of frustration and I finally got my issue resolved.

•Idk man, sounds kinda sketchy. Has anyone else tried this?

•I get the skepticism, but it's legit. They have a money-back guarantee if it doesn't work. Plus, think about how much your time is worth - for me, $20 was worth not spending hours on hold.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your attempts to contact them, including dates and times. 2. Send a certified letter explaining your situation and requesting an update. This creates a paper trail. 3. Contact your state representative or senator. They often have staff dedicated to helping with these issues. 4. If you're facing financial hardship due to the delay, make sure to mention that in your communications. 5. Check if there are any online portals or email addresses you can use to submit inquiries. 6. Consider reaching out on social media. Sometimes public pressure can help. 7. If all else fails, you might want to consult with a lawyer who specializes in employment law. Remember, persistence is key. Don't give up! The squeaky wheel gets the grease. 💪

•Barely. Living off credit cards and the kindness of family. It's a nightmare.

This might sound weird, but have you tried faxing them? I know it's 2023, but some govt offices still respond better to faxes than emails or calls.

OP, make sure you've submitted all required documentation. Sometimes they don't tell you if something's missing and just let the claim sit there 🙄

•Good point, I'll double-check. But how do I know if everything's there if I can't get hold of anyone? It's like a catch-22 😫

•Count me in too. We shouldn't have to jump through hoops to get what we're entitled to.
