EDD Family Leave: Final Payment Delayed for Months - Need Help!
Has anyone else been waiting forever for their final family leave payment? I filed my claim back in December and still haven't received the last payment. It's been months now and I'm getting really frustrated. I've tried calling but can never get through to a real person. Any advice on how to actually get this resolved?

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. Filed in November and still waiting on my last payment. It's ridiculous how long this is taking. Have you tried emailing them? I heard sometimes that works better than calling.

•I've tried emailing but just get generic responses. It's so frustrating! How long have you been waiting now?

•Going on 4 months now 😤 This system is such a joke. We need our money!

•4 months?! That's insane. I thought my 2 month wait was bad. This is getting out of hand.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site called claimyr.com - it's a calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, and then connects you when a live agent picks up. It costs $20, but it worked for me. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•I get the skepticism, but it seriously worked for me. Was on hold for like 3 hours but didn't have to listen to that awful music lol. Worth it to finally talk to someone.

Have you tried reaching out to your local assembly member's office? They sometimes can help push things through faster. Worth a shot if you're desperate.

This is why we need to overhaul the entire system. It's not just you - thousands of people are dealing with these delays. We need to put pressure on our representatives to fix this broken process.

•100% agree. But good luck getting anything done in this political climate 🙄

•Maybe we should organize a protest or something? This is getting ridiculous.

Here's what worked for me after waiting 3 months for my final payment: 1. Document everything - dates of calls, emails, etc. 2. File a formal complaint on the EDD website 3. Contact your state representative AND senator 4. Be persistent - call every day if you have to 5. If all else fails, consider filing for a hardship expedite It's a pain, but if you're persistent, you'll eventually get through. Don't give up!

•Thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely try these steps. How long did it take after you did all this to finally get your payment?

•It took about 2 weeks after I started being really aggressive with follow-ups. The key is not letting them forget about you!

Has anyone tried faxing their documents? I know it sounds old school, but I've heard it can sometimes get faster results than calling or emailing.

•Faxing? What year is it, 1995? 😂

•Hey, don't knock it till you've tried it! Sometimes the old ways work best with these outdated systems.
