PFL payment not received - Need advice on speeding up claim process
Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my paid family leave. I filed my claim a while back but still haven't received any payment. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm trying to get through to someone on the phone but no luck so far. Any advice on how to speed up the process or what I should say when I finally get through?

Ugh, I feel your pain! I went through something similar last year. It took FOREVER to get my payments. Have you tried checking your claim status online? Sometimes there's info there that can help.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

The whole system is a joke tbh. I've been waiting on my claim for 3 months now. Every time I call, they give me a different excuse. It's like they're playing hot potato with our claims 🥔

Here's what worked for me to speed up my PFL claim: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your calls, who you spoke to, and what they said. 2. Contact your local state representative. They can sometimes intervene on your behalf. 3. Be persistent but polite when you call. Ask for a supervisor if the first person can't help. 4. Check if there are any forms or documents they might be waiting on. Sometimes they don't notify you if something's missing. 5. I've been trying to call but can never get through - the line is always busy or I get disconnected after waiting forever. Has anyone had luck calling at specific times of day? Maybe early morning or late afternoon? I'm willing to try anything at this point. The online portal is useless too - just says "processing" with no timeline. Really appreciate everyone sharing their experiences here, at least I know I'm not alone in this mess!
