PFL claim status check - tips for calculating benefits and payment timeline?

Hey everyone, I'm trying to check on the status of my paid family leave claim. Has anyone had any luck getting through to someone who can actually help? I've been trying to calculate my benefit amount and figure out when I might get paid, but it's been a nightmare. Any tips or experiences to share?

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been trying to get info on my claim for weeks now. It's like they're purposely making it difficult 🤬 Have you tried calling early in the morning? I heard that's the best time to get through.

Early morning calls are hit or miss tbh. I've had better luck calling right before lunch. Seems like thats when they're in a better mood lol

Calling early didn't work for me either. I swear they have like 2 people working the phones šŸ™„

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll give both times a try and see if I can get lucky. Fingers crossed šŸ¤ž

I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

I get the skepticism, but it seriously saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo. They even have a money-back guarantee if it doesn't work.

Just tried it and it actually worked! Got through to an agent in about 45 minutes. Thanks for the tip! šŸ’Æ

Here's what I've learned about PFL claims after going through this nightmare: • The standard processing time is supposed to be 14 days, but it's often longer • Benefits are usually 60-70% of your wages, up to a weekly maximum • Payments are generally issued bi-weekly once your claim is approved • Make sure ALL your paperwork is filled out correctly - even small errors can cause delays • Keep copies of everything you submit • If you haven't heard anything after 3 weeks, start calling persistently Hope this helps someone! It's a frustrating process, but hang in there.

This is super helpful, thanks for sharing! Do you know if there's a way to check the status online?

Yeah, you can check online but in my experience it's not always up to date. Still worth trying tho!

Has anyone else noticed that the calculation for benefits seems off? I swear they're using some weird formula that doesn't match what's on their website šŸ¤”

Pro tip: if you can't get through on the main line, try calling your local office directly. Sometimes they're more helpful and the wait times are shorter.

I'm in the same boat, OP. Been waiting for 6 weeks now with no update. Starting to feel like I'm gonna have to go back to work before I even see a dime from this claim 😩

6 weeks?! That's insane. I hope you get some answers soon. This whole system is so broken.

Tell me about it. I've got bills piling up and no idea when I'll get paid. It's beyond stressful.

Anybody else think its ridiculous that we pay into this system our whole working lives, but when we actually need it, its nearly impossible to use? 🤔 The whole thing needs an overhaul.

Preach! šŸ‘ It's like they designed it to be as frustrating as possible
