Applied for family bonding leave a month ago, no payment or updates. Anyone else experiencing delays with EDD?
I applied for family bonding leave last month and still haven't gotten paid or any update on my claim. It's been weeks and I'm getting worried. Has anyone else experienced long delays with their family leave claims? What should I do next?

I found a way to solve family leave claim delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=euClLW1qQLw

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. Applied for family leave 6 weeks ago and crickets 🦗 The waiting game is brutal. Have you tried calling them?

•I've tried calling but can never get through. It's so frustrating! How long did they tell you it would take?

•They said 2-3 weeks when I applied, but clearly that was BS. I'm gonna try calling again tomorrow. This is ridiculous 😤

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 mins on hold that way!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•I was skeptical too, but it really worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration.

•$20 seems steep just to make a phone call. Is it really worth it?

•For me it was. I wasted way more than $20 worth of time trying to get through on my own.

Here's what I've learned from my experience with family bonding claims: 1. Be patient. It can take up to 4-6 weeks for processing. 2. Make sure all your paperwork is in order. Any missing docs can cause major delays. 3. If you haven't heard anything after 4 weeks, definitely try to contact them. 4. Keep a record of all your attempts to contact them. 5. Consider reaching out to your local state representative if you're really stuck. Hang in there! The system is slow, but it usually works out in the end.

This is why we need better family leave policies in this country. The system is broken and it's hurting families when they need support the most. 😡

•Preach! 🙌 It's 2023, how are we still dealing with this nonsense?

•Careful, don't want to get too political here... but yeah, the system could use some work.

Quick question - did you receive any kind of confirmation when you submitted your application? I'm about to apply and want to know what to expect.

•Yeah, I got an email confirmation right after I submitted. It had my claim number and everything.
