Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my paid family leave claim. I submitted it after my SDI ended, but I haven't received any payments yet. It's been over a month now. I've been trying to call the PFL department, but they're always at max capacity. Has anyone else dealt with this? I got my notice of computation, but I'm not sure what to do next. Any advice?
Hey everyone, I'm trying to get an update on some documents I sent in. I've been waiting for a while and haven't heard anything back. Has anyone else had this problem? How long did it take for you to get a response? I'm thinking about closing my account if this keeps dragging on. Any advice would be appreciated!
have you tried faxing your documents? I know it sounds like we're back in the 90s, but sometimes it works better than email or snail mail.
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble getting an update on some documents I sent to EDD. I submitted my birth verification docs a while back and haven't heard anything. Anyone else dealing with this? Any tips on how to get through to someone for an update?
Honestly, at this point I'm convinced EDD is run by a bunch of hamsters on wheels. Might explain the delays ๐น๐จ
Hey everyone, I'm really frustrated. I haven't gotten any payments for my PFL EDD claim since January 24th. My claim started on January 12th, and it's been radio silence since then. Has anyone else experienced this kind of delay? Any advice on what I should do next?
I'm in the same boat, fam. Been waiting since December. This is ridiculous. How are we supposed to survive?
Hey everyone, I just got a message from Paid Family Leave telling me to call them back about my case. The thing is, I have no clue what they want to talk about. Has anyone else been in this situation? What should I expect when I call them? I'm kinda nervous about it tbh.
Hot take: PFL is actually not that bad compared to other government programs. At least they're trying to contact you instead of just denying your claim outright. ๐คทโโ๏ธ

Have you tried faxing your documents? I know it sounds archaic, but sometimes it's faster than mail or online submissions.

Ugh, the EDD is such a mess rn. I heard they're super backlogged bc of all the fraud cases they had to deal with during covid. Doesn't make it any easier for us tho ๐

Yeah, but that was like 3 years ago. You'd think they'd have their act together by now ๐

True that. Guess we can't expect miracles from government agencies lol
