Unpopular opinion: maybe we should all just be grateful these benefits exist at all? In many countries, you'd be SOL.
PSA: There's a new online portal for checking claim status. It's not perfect, but it's better than nothing. Google 'EDD claim status portal' and you should find it.
Hey, former EDD employee here. For address verification, they usually want to see two different official documents with your name and address. Utility bills, bank statements, or government mail (like voter registration) work best. Avoid using handwritten mail or personal letters. Hope this helps!

Pro tip: if you can, try calling right when they open. I've had better luck getting through quickly that way.
