SDI Claim Issue: Can't Get Continued Claim Certification Form After Doctor Updated Return-to-Work Date
I'm having trouble with my SDI claim. My doctor updated my return to work date and submitted a supplemental certification to continue my benefits, but now my account shows I need to submit a Continued Claim Certification form. The problem is, I haven't received this form in my inbox or mail. Has anyone else experienced this? What should I do to get this form?

Ugh, the EDD system is such a mess! I had a similar issue last month. Have you tried calling them? It's a pain, but sometimes that's the only way to get things sorted out.

I've been trying to call for days but can't get through. It's so frustrating! 😤

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 minutes on hold that way.

Good advice! Also, keep trying different times throughout the day. Sometimes you get lucky mid-afternoon.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

Yeah, it's legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

How long did it take for them to get someone on the line?

It took about 2 hours for me, but I didn't have to sit there listening to hold music the whole time. They just called me when an agent was ready.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Check your online account again to make sure the form isn't there. Sometimes it takes a day or two to show up. 2. If it's not there, try to request the form online through your SDI account. There should be an option for this. 3. If that doesn't work, you'll need to contact EDD directly. You can try: - Calling their SDI customer service line - Sending a secure message through your online account - Visiting a local EDD office in person (if possible) 4. When you get in touch, explain that your doctor submitted a supplemental certification but you haven't received the Continued Claim Certification form. 5. Ask them to resend the form and verify your mailing address. 6. If they can't send a physical form, ask if there's a way to submit the information online or if they can accept the certification without the specific form. Remember to document everything - who you talked to, when, and what they said. Good luck!

This is great advice. I'd add that if you visit in person, go early! The lines can get crazy long.

Quick question - did you check your spam folder? Sometimes EDD emails end up there for some reason.

This happened to me last year. Turns out they had my old address on file even though I updated it online. Double-check your contact info in your account settings.

have you tried reaching out to your local assembly members office? they can sometimes help speed things up with EDD. worth a shot if nothing else works!
