SDI Reinstatement: Can't Find 'Claim for Continued Disability Benefits' Form Online - Help!
Hey everyone, I'm trying to reinstate my SDI benefits and I'm not sure what to do. My doctor submitted their form a couple weeks ago, but I can't find the 'Claim for Continued Disability Benefits' form online. Last time I was able to fill it out on the website, but now it's not showing up under available forms. Any advice on what I should do next? I'm worried I might be missing something important.

Ugh, the EDD website is such a mess! 🤦♂️ I had the same issue last month. Have you tried calling them? It's a pain, but sometimes that's the only way to get things sorted.

•Calling is a nightmare tho. I spent 3 hours on hold last week and still didn't get through. There has to be a better way!

•Fr fr, the hold times are insane. I legit fell asleep waiting once 😴

•Yeah, I'm dreading having to call. The wait times are ridiculous. Hoping there's another solution...

Have you checked your mail recently? Sometimes they send those forms through snail mail instead of making them available online. It's annoying AF but worth checking!

•Good point! My mail goes to my mom's house, so I'll have to check with her. Fingers crossed 🤞

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone without the insane wait times. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Anyone else tried it?

•$20 just to talk to someone? That's highway robbery! 😤

•I get the skepticism, but it seriously saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny IMO. And yeah, it's legit - there are reviews online if you wanna check.

•Just used it yesterday. Can confirm it works. Got through in like 30 mins instead of 3+ hours 👍

Here's what you need to do: 1. Double-check your online account to make sure you're logged in correctly. Sometimes the system glitches and doesn't show all available forms. 2. If you still can't find the form, call the EDD and request they mail you a physical copy of the 'Claim for Continued Disability Benefits' form (DE 2500A). 3. While on the phone, ask them to verify that your doctor's form has been received and processed. Sometimes there's a delay, which could explain why you can't access the continuation form. 4. If all else fails, you can download a generic version of the form from the EDD website and mail it in. It's not ideal, but it's better than nothing. 5. Keep detailed records of all your interactions with EDD, including dates, times, and names of representatives you speak with. Remember, persistence is key when dealing with bureaucracy. Don't give up!

Pro tip: if u cant get the form online, try using a different browser or clearing ur cache. Sometimes its just a tech issue on their end.

Anybody else notice that the EDD seems to change their processes like every other month? I swear, just when you figure out how to navigate the system, they go and switch it up on us. 🙄

I had this exact same issue a few months ago! What worked for me was logging out completely, clearing my browser cookies, and then logging back in. Sometimes the EDD portal gets stuck and doesn't refresh properly. If that doesn't work, you can also try accessing it from your phone instead of desktop - for some weird reason that helped me see forms that weren't showing up on my computer. Hope this helps! 🤞

•Thanks for the tip! I'm definitely going to try the browser clearing thing first - seems like the easiest fix. Never would have thought to try mobile vs desktop, that's so random but makes sense knowing how glitchy their system is 😅

I just went through this same nightmare last month! What finally worked for me was actually calling their automated phone system first (1-800-480-3287) and checking if there were any flags on my account that were preventing the form from showing up online. Turns out there was some kind of verification hold that wasn't mentioned anywhere on the website. Once they cleared that, the continuation form appeared in my portal within 24 hours. Also, double-check that your doctor submitted the right form - sometimes they send the wrong one and it creates a weird limbo where you can't access the next step. The whole system is such a mess, but don't give up! Keep detailed notes of every call/interaction - you'll need them later. Good luck! 💪

•This is such valuable info! I never would have thought to call the automated system first to check for account flags. That's probably what's happening with mine too - the whole "verification hold" thing sounds exactly like something EDD would do without telling you. Definitely going to try calling that number tomorrow. Thanks for sharing your experience and the phone number! 🙏

I'm dealing with the exact same situation right now! It's so frustrating when you're trying to do everything right and the system just doesn't cooperate. I've been checking my online account daily and that continuation form is just nowhere to be found. Reading through all these responses is really helpful though - sounds like there are multiple things that could be causing this. I'm going to try the browser clearing trick first, then check my mail like Katherine suggested, and if all else fails I'll brave the phone lines. It's ridiculous that we have to jump through so many hoops just to access benefits we've paid into, but at least we have this community to help each other navigate the chaos! Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences and tips 💙

•Same boat here! 😤 It's honestly wild that we're all having to become EDD detectives just to get our own benefits. The fact that there are like 10 different potential solutions in this thread shows how broken the system is - it shouldn't be this complicated! But I'm grateful for everyone sharing what worked for them. Definitely going to try the automated phone line trick that @Sophia Carson mentioned first, then work my way through the other suggestions. We shouldn t'have to do all this detective work, but here we are! Hang in there everyone 💪

I'm going through the exact same thing right now! It's so stressful when you're trying to stay on top of your benefits and the system just won't cooperate. I've been refreshing my account page for days hoping that continuation form would magically appear. This thread is giving me hope though - sounds like there are several different things that could be causing this issue. I'm definitely going to try the browser clearing method first since that seems like the quickest fix, and if that doesn't work I'll check my mail and then try that automated phone line trick. It's honestly crazy that we all have to become EDD experts just to access benefits we've earned, but I'm so grateful this community exists to help each other out! Fingers crossed one of these solutions works 🤞

•This whole thread has been such a lifesaver! 🙏 I'm in the exact same boat - been stressing about this missing form for weeks. It's honestly reassuring to know I'm not the only one dealing with this nightmare. The EDD system feels like it's designed to make us give up sometimes! I'm planning to work through all the suggestions here systematically. Starting with the browser clearing trick, then checking mail, and if needed I'll try that automated phone line method. Really appreciate everyone sharing their experiences - makes me feel less alone in this bureaucratic maze!

I'm dealing with this exact same issue right now! 😩 It's so frustrating - my doctor submitted everything weeks ago but that continuation form is just MIA from my online account. I've tried refreshing multiple times and even logged out/back in but nothing. Reading through everyone's suggestions here is giving me hope though! I'm going to start with the browser clearing trick and checking different browsers like some of you mentioned, then move on to calling that automated line to check for account flags. It's honestly insane that we're all having to troubleshoot EDD's broken system just to access our own benefits, but I'm really grateful for this community helping each other navigate this mess. Will update if any of these solutions work for me! 🤞

•I'm going through this too and it's driving me crazy! 😫 The whole system feels like it's held together with duct tape and prayers. I've been in the same situation for about a week now - my doctor sent their paperwork but that continuation form is nowhere to be found online. This thread has been so helpful though! I'm definitely going to try the browser clearing method first, then check my mail box (which I've been putting off tbh). If those don't work, I'll try that automated phone line trick that @Sophia Carson mentioned. It s'wild that we all have to become tech support for EDD just to get our benefits, but at least we re'not alone in this! Keep us posted on what works for you!

I'm having the exact same issue right now and it's so stressful! 😩 My doctor submitted their paperwork about 10 days ago but I can't find that continuation form anywhere in my online account. I keep checking every day hoping it'll just show up. This thread is honestly a lifesaver - I had no idea there were so many potential fixes to try! I'm going to start with clearing my browser cache and trying a different browser like some of you suggested, then check my mailbox (which I've been avoiding because I hate dealing with mail lol). If those don't work, I'll definitely try that automated phone line trick to check for account flags. It's honestly ridiculous that we all have to become EDD troubleshooters just to access benefits we've paid into, but I'm so grateful for this community! Will report back if any of these solutions work 🤞

•Ugh, I feel your stress! 😤 I'm literally in the same exact situation - it's like we're all stuck in some EDD glitch nightmare together. Been refreshing my account obsessively for days hoping that form will magically appear. The mail thing is such a good point though - I've been avoiding checking mine too because who has time for actual physical mail in 2024? 😅 But sounds like that might be where the form is hiding. Really hoping the browser clearing trick works for you! This whole thread is proof that EDD's system is completely broken when we all need to become IT specialists just to get our own benefits. Keep us updated on what works! 🤞

I'm going through this exact same nightmare right now! 😫 It's been almost 3 weeks since my doctor submitted their forms and that continuation form is still nowhere to be found in my online account. I've been checking daily and getting more stressed each time it's not there. This thread is honestly amazing though - I had no idea there were so many different things that could be causing this! I'm definitely going to try the browser clearing method first since that seems like the easiest fix, then check my physical mail (ugh, who even checks mail anymore? 📬), and if those don't work I'll try calling that automated line to check for account flags. It's absolutely insane that we all have to become EDD detectives just to access benefits we've literally paid into through our paychecks, but I'm so grateful for communities like this where we can help each other navigate this bureaucratic maze! Will definitely update if any of these solutions work for me 🤞

•Omg yes! 😭 The stress is real when you're just waiting and waiting for that form to show up. I'm actually dealing with this too and have been losing sleep over it tbh. The fact that we're all experiencing the same glitch is both comforting and terrifying - like how is their system THIS broken?? But seriously this thread has been a godsend! I never would have thought to check my physical mailbox (I literally forgot I had one lol) or try that automated phone trick. It's wild that we need a whole support group just to figure out how to access our own benefits! Definitely going to work through all these suggestions tomorrow. Thanks everyone for sharing - makes me feel way less alone in this mess! 🙏

I'm literally going through this exact same thing right now and it's driving me insane! 😤 Been waiting for that continuation form to show up for over 2 weeks now. My doctor confirmed they submitted everything but the form is just ghost mode on my account. This whole thread is honestly saving my sanity right now - I was starting to think I was losing my mind! Definitely going to try the browser clearing trick first thing tomorrow, then check my actual mailbox (haven't looked at physical mail in months lol). If those don't work, that automated phone line tip sounds like a game changer. It's absolutely wild that we need a whole detective squad just to access benefits we've been paying into forever! Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences - makes this whole nightmare feel way less isolating 🙏

I'm going to try all these suggestions too - starting with the browser tricks and then that automated phone line method. It's honestly comforting to know we're all in this together even though it sucks that we have to be! Will definitely share if anything works for me. Hang in there! 💪
