SDI payments suddenly stopped, no communication from EDD, can't find continued claim certification form. Help!

Hey everyone, I'm having a weird issue with my SDI payments. They just stopped coming even though my doctor says I'm still covered. The strangest part is I didn't get any communication about why this happened or what I need to do next. I noticed something in my account about needing to submit a continued claim certification, but I can't find the form anywhere in my account or inbox. I've only been on SDI since August. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on what I should do?

I found a way to solve missing SDI continued claim certification, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YS8HF-oyBCs

Ugh, classic EDD nonsense. 🙄 I had a similar issue last year. Have you tried calling them? It's a pain, but sometimes that's the only way to get answers.

I've been trying to call for days but can't get through. It's so frustrating!

Pro tip: call right when they open. I usually have better luck getting through that way.

Calling is useless, I swear they have like 2 people working the phones 🤡

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds sketchy. Is it legit?

Yeah, it's totally legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration.

20 bucks to actually talk to someone? might be worth it at this point lol

How long did you have to wait for the callback?

It took about an hour and a half, but beats spending all day trying to get through!

Okay, let me break this down for you based on my experience and what I've learned from others in similar situations: 1. The continued claim certification is crucial. Without it, payments will stop. 2. If you can't find the form in your account, it's likely a technical glitch or they forgot to send it to you. 3. Here's what you should do: - Keep trying to call EDD (I know, it sucks) - Check your mail. Sometimes they send physical forms. - Look for an option to request a new certification form in your online account - If all else fails, try contacting your local assemblyperson's office. They can sometimes help push things through. 4. Document everything. Keep a log of when you try to call, any error messages you see online, etc. 5. Don't panic. This happens more often than you'd think, and it usually gets resolved. Hang in there, and keep us updated!

This is solid advice. I'd add: take screenshots of your account showing the missing form. Could be helpful later.

This happened to me last month. Turns out they had the wrong address on file and were sending my forms to my old place. Double-check all your contact info is up to date!

Oh wow, I didn't even think of that. I'll definitely check. Thanks!

The EDD system is so broken. I swear they make it confusing on purpose. 😤 Hang in there, OP. We're all in the same sinking boat.

Nah, never attribute to malice what can be explained by incompetence. EDD is just a mess.

Quick question - did your doctor submit a new medical certification recently? Sometimes payments stop if they don't have updated medical info.

I'm not sure actually. I'll check with my doctor's office. Good thinking!

Ive been on SDI for 2 years now (chronic illness) and let me tell you, this stuff happens ALL THE TIME. its like playing whack-a-mole with bureaucracy. Keep pushing and don't let them ignore you!

Anyone else think its wild that in 2023 we still have to deal with missing forms and unclear communication from government agencies? Like, haven't they heard of email? Or apps? Or literally any modern tech? 🙄

Preach! 🙌 My grandma's rotary phone was more reliable than EDD's systems

To be fair, they're dealing with millions of claims. But yeah, an upgrade wouldn't hurt.
