SDI payments delayed due to supplemental certification request despite doctor's letter - Help!

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my SDI payments. I haven't received them yet, and now they're asking for supplemental certification. The thing is, my doctor already sent in a letter. Has anyone else dealt with this? It's so frustrating!

Ugh, I feel your pain! 😫 I went through something similar last year. Have you tried calling them? Sometimes talking to a real person can help sort things out faster.

I've been trying to call for days but can never get through. It's like they don't want us to reach them! 🤬

Pro tip: call right when they open. I usually have better luck getting through that way.

Thanks for the tip! I'll give that a shot tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed 🤞

This happened to me too! It's so annoying. I ended up having to get my doctor to send the letter again. Apparently, they 'lost' the first one. 🙄 Maybe check if that's what happened in your case?

The SDI system is such a mess rn. I've been waiting on my payments for over a month now. Seems like they're always finding new ways to delay things. Hang in there, OP!

A month? That's nothing. I've been waiting for 3 months now. This whole system needs a complete overhaul.

3 months?! That's insane. How are you even surviving? 😱

Barely. Had to borrow money from family. It's embarrassing af but what can you do? 🤷‍♂️

Hey, I found a method to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Check out this video for more info: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

$20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous. The system is so broken.

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. After weeks of trying to get through, I was desperate enough to try anything. It's not ideal, but it got the job done.

I used it too. Felt kinda silly paying for something that should be free, but man, the relief of finally talking to a human was worth it.

Here's what you need to do to resolve this issue with SDI: 1. Document everything: Keep a record of all communications, including dates you sent documents and any reference numbers. 2. Re-submit the certification: Even if your doctor sent it, send it again. Use certified mail so you have proof of delivery. 3. Call persistently: Yes, it's a pain, but keep trying. Early morning or late afternoon tend to have shorter wait times. 4. Use the online portal: Sometimes you can upload documents directly, which can be faster than mail. 5. Contact your local state representative: They often have liaisons who can help with SDI issues. 6. Consider filing an appeal: If all else fails, you have the right to appeal their decision. Remember, persistence is key. Don't give up! The system is frustrating, but keep pushing until you get what you're entitled to.

This might sound weird, but has anyone else noticed that SDI issues seem to get worse around tax season? It's like they're trying to hold onto every penny as long as possible. 🤔

Omg, I thought I was the only one who noticed this! You might be onto something here...

Conspiracy theory much? 🙄 It's probably just busier for them during tax season.

Maybe, but it's sus af if you ask me 👀
