SDI won't process my last payment after sending paperwork 3 times - need help!

I'm having trouble getting my last SDI payment. I've had to send paperwork to SDI three times now because of mistakes made by my doctor's office. The last time, I got SDI to mail me the proper certification form. I filled it out and sent it via overnight delivery about two weeks ago. I've been trying to contact them to check on the status, but I can't get through. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on how to make sure they received my form and are processing it correctly?

Paolo Longo

Ugh, I feel your pain! 😫 I've been dealing with SDI for months now. It's like they're purposely making it difficult for us to get our benefits. Have you tried faxing your documents? Sometimes that works better than mailing.

I haven't tried faxing yet. Do you know if they have a specific fax number for certification forms?

Yeah, its 1-855-341-0001. Make sure to keep the fax confirmation page as proof you sent it!

Thanks so much! I'll give that a try if I can't get through on the phone.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

I'm skeptical. How do we know this isn't just some scam?

I get the skepticism, but it's legit. I was desperate and took a chance. Got through in about an hour. Way better than spending all day trying to call myself.

Can confirm, I used it last week. Expensive but worth it if you're in a bind.

Here's what I've learned from my SDI nightmare: 1. Always keep copies of EVERYTHING you send them. 2. If you mail anything, use certified mail with return receipt. 3. Call first thing in the morning, right when they open. 4. If you can't get through, try their online portal to send a message. 5. Be persistent! Don't give up! Hope this helps. The system is broken, but we gotta keep fighting. 💪

Thank you for the detailed advice! I'll definitely start using certified mail from now on.

Bruh, SDI is a joke 🤡 I swear they lose our paperwork on purpose. I've been waiting 3 months for my claim to be processed. This system is rigged against us fr

Preach! 🙌 It's like they want us to give up and not get the benefits we're entitled to.

Pro tip: If you can't get through on the main line, try calling their auxiliary number at 1-866-658-8846. Sometimes it's less busy.

Thanks for the tip! I'll give that number a try tomorrow morning.

Have you checked your claim status online? Sometimes they update it there before they actually contact you.

I tried, but it just says 'pending' with no other details. So frustrating!

I'm in the same boat, buddy. Been trying to get my final payment for weeks. It's like trying to nail jello to a wall 😅

LPT: If you're having trouble with SDI, document EVERYTHING. Keep a log of all your calls, who you spoke to, what they said. It'll help if you need to escalate your case later.

That's a great idea. I'll start doing that right away. Thanks!

Anyone else notice that SDI seems to be getting worse lately? I swear it wasn't this bad a few years ago. Budget cuts maybe?

Yep, I've heard they're understaffed and overworked. Doesn't excuse the poor service, but might explain it.

It's definitely gotten worse since COVID. They're probably still catching up.
