SDI Payment Delayed: Haven't Received Anything Yet. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my SDI payment. It's been a while and I still haven't received anything. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm starting to get worried and could really use some advice on what to do next.

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. It's been weeks and still nothing. Have you tried calling them? I've been trying but can never get through 😤

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 mins of waiting last week.

Here's what worked for me to finally get my SDI payment: 1. Double-check all your paperwork is correct and submitted 2. Call your doctor's office to make sure they sent in their part 3. If everything looks good, keep calling EDD daily 4. Be persistent and don't give up! It took me about 3 weeks of doing this before I saw my payment. The system is overwhelmed right now, so you gotta stay on top of it. Good luck!

•Thank you so much for the detailed advice! I'll definitely follow these steps. Did you have any luck getting through on the phone?

•Honestly, getting through on the phone was a nightmare. I had to call like 50 times before I finally got a human. But when I did, they were helpful and got things moving.

have you checked your claim status online? sometimes it updates there before you get any notice

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

•I get it, but for me it was worth it. Time is money, and I was wasting so much time trying to get through on my own.

This whole system is a joke. We pay into it our whole working lives and when we need it, we cant even get our money. SMH 🤦♂️

Has anyone tried contacting their local representative? I've heard that can sometimes help speed things up.

•I did this! It actually helped. My rep's office contacted EDD on my behalf and things started moving after that.

•Wow, I hadn't even thought of that. How do I find out who my local rep is?

•Just google '[your city] state representative' and it should come up. Most have contact forms on their websites.

Hang in there, OP! The waiting game sucks but your payment will come eventually. Just keep following up and don't let them forget about you!
