This is why we need major reform in the disability benefits system. It's a disgrace how they treat people who are already struggling. 😤
The fact that we have to jump through so many hoops just to access our benefits is ridiculous. The system is broken and needs to be fixed ASAP. How many people are suffering because they can't get through? 😤
Here's what I've learned after dealing with EDD for months: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your calls, who you spoke to, and what was said. 2. Be persistent. Sometimes you have to call multiple times a day for days on end. 3. Use the online portal as much as possible. Sometimes issues can be resolved there without calling. 4. If all else fails, contact your local representatives or file a formal complaint. 5. Join Facebook groups or forums dedicated to EDD issues. Sometimes you can find insider tips or get help from others who've been through the same thing. Hang in there, OP. It's a frustrating process, but don't give up!
anyone else feel like the whole system is designed to make us give up? its like they want us to fail smh

OP, if you're really strapped for cash while waiting, you might wanna look into local food banks or assistance programs. Some churches and community centers offer emergency help too. Hang in there!

•Thanks for the tip. Hopefully it won't come to that, but good to know there are options if things get tight.

Am I the only one who thinks its ridiculous that we're still relying on paper checks in 2025? The whole system needs an overhaul smh
