Pro tip: If you can't get through on the phone, try contacting your local state representative's office. They often have direct lines to EDD and can help push things along.
Hey OP, quick question - when you say 're-assign eligibility', do you mean you're trying to backdate your claim? Cuz if so, that's a whole different process and you might need to talk to a specific department for that.
Good question! I'm not trying to backdate, just update the end date of my eligibility period. My doctor extended my disability time, so I need to reflect that in my claim.
I'm telling you, it's all a conspiracy to make us give up and go back to work for peanuts. Stay strong, comrade! ✊
Hey OP, hang in there. I know its tough but youll get through this. Have you considered looking into local food banks or assistance programs while you wait? Might help ease the stress a bit.
Not to be that guy, but did you check your spam folder? Sometimes important emails from EDD end up there.

Hey OP, when you do get through to someone, make sure to get their name and employee ID. It helps if you need to follow up or if theres any discrepancy later. Also, dont be afraid to ask for a supervisor if youre not getting anywhere with the first person you talk to. Stay strong! 💪
