EDD unemployment claim stuck in pending processing - how to get help?

Hey everyone, I'm trying to figure out what's going on with my unemployment claim. It's been stuck in pending processing status for a while now and I'm not sure what to do. I need to find out what information they still need to complete my claim and move it forward. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on how to get through to someone who can actually help?

Hey, has anyone heard about the new bill they're trying to pass to improve the EDD system? Supposedly it'll make things faster, but idk if I believe it.

Link to the bill info? I wanna read more about this.

A reform could really help, fingers crossed it's effective.

Guys I think I cracked the code. You have to call on a Tuesday, during a full moon, while standing on one foot. Works every time 60% of the time 😂

Instructions unclear. Accidentally summoned an EDD demon. Send help.

Need help ASAP: Can't reschedule disability appointment, any quick ways to contact them?

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble rescheduling my disability appointment. I tried to reschedule it for today but I'm not sure if it went through. Has anyone else had issues with this? Any advice on how to get in touch with someone quickly? I really need to speak with them ASAP.

Have you tried reaching out to your local representative? Sometimes they can help push things through faster.

Missing SDI/PFL checks for 3 weeks of maternity leave - how to get EDD to fix this?

Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my short-term disability and paid family leave payments after my maternity leave. I've checked with HR and found out I'm missing checks for the first, third, and last week of my leave. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on how to handle it when I call them? I'm pretty frustrated and could use some help figuring out what to say.

have u tried faxing them? I know it sounds old school but it worked for me when nothing else did lol

Ugh, maternity leave issues are the WORST. You're already dealing with a newborn and then you have to fight for your money too? Sending you strength, mama! 💪👶

How to check if EDD received my paperwork? No response for weeks

Hey everyone, I'm trying to figure out if my paperwork was received by the unemployment office. I submitted it a while ago but haven't heard anything back. Has anyone else been in this situation? Any tips on how to check the status or get in touch with someone who can help?

Here's what I've learned after dealing with this for months: 1. Keep copies of EVERYTHING you send them. 2. Use certified mail if you're sending physical documents. 3. Check your online account daily for updates. 4. If you call, be prepared to wait for hours. 5. Be polite but persistent with the reps. 6. If one rep can't help, politely ask to speak with a supervisor. 7. Document every interaction - date, time, who you spoke with. 8. If all else fails, contact your local state representative's office. They can sometimes intervene on your behalf. Hang in there, OP. It's a frustrating process, but you'll get through it eventually!

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been in the same boat for weeks now. It's like they have a black hole where all our paperwork goes to die. 🕳️

Guys, lets not be so negative. The system is overwhelmed rn. We gotta be patient

@profile 3 Patient? I've been 'patient' for 3 months now. My landlord isn't gonna accept 'patience' as rent payment 🙄

EDD benefits delay - weeks without payment. What to do?

Hey everyone, I'm getting really worried. It's been weeks since I filed my unemployment claim and I still haven't received any benefits. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm starting to get desperate and don't know what to do. Any advice would be appreciated!

This happened to me too. Turns out there was an identity verification issue. Once I uploaded the right documents, things started moving. Might be worth checking if that's holding things up for you.

Thanks for the tip! I'll double-check my account to see if there's anything like that going on.
