How to check if EDD received my paperwork? No response for weeks
Hey everyone, I'm trying to figure out if my paperwork was received by the unemployment office. I submitted it a while ago but haven't heard anything back. Has anyone else been in this situation? Any tips on how to check the status or get in touch with someone who can help?

Have you tried checking your online account? Sometimes they update the status there without sending a notification.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•$20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous. The system is so broken 😤

•I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. After weeks of trying, I finally got through and sorted out my issue. Worth every penny imo

•Can you give more details about how it works? Is it legit?

•@profile 7 Yeah, it's pretty straightforward. You go to their website, choose the department you need to call, pay, and they start calling right away. When they get a real person, your phone rings and you're connected. Saved me hours of hold time

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 minutes on hold last week. Good luck!

I'm telling you, it's all a conspiracy to make us give up on claiming our benefits. Stay strong, comrades! ✊

Here's what I've learned after dealing with this for months: 1. Keep copies of EVERYTHING you send them. 2. Use certified mail if you're sending physical documents. 3. Check your online account daily for updates. 4. If you call, be prepared to wait for hours. 5. Be polite but persistent with the reps. 6. If one rep can't help, politely ask to speak with a supervisor. 7. Document every interaction - date, time, who you spoke with. 8. If all else fails, contact your local state representative's office. They can sometimes intervene on your behalf. Hang in there, OP. It's a frustrating process, but you'll get through it eventually!

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been in the same boat for weeks now. It's like they have a black hole where all our paperwork goes to die. 🕳️

•LOL black hole is right. I swear they must have a shredder that automatically activates when our docs arrive 🤣

•Guys, lets not be so negative. The system is overwhelmed rn. We gotta be patient

•@profile 3 Patient? I've been 'patient' for 3 months now. My landlord isn't gonna accept 'patience' as rent payment 🙄
