EDD claim update: No callback received. How to actually reach someone?

Ugh, welcome to the club 🙄 I've been trying to get an update for weeks now. It's like they don't want us to actually get our benefits.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site called claimyr.com. It's a calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to your phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's what I've learned after dealing with this for months: • Try calling right when they open. The lines are usually less busy. • Use the online portal to check for updates if you haven't already. • If you can, visit an in-person office. Sometimes face-to-face is better. • Keep a log of all your attempts to contact them. It might help if you need to escalate. • Check if your state rep can help. I feel your pain, OP. I was in the same boat last month. What finally worked for me was calling exactly at 8:01 AM and using the Spanish option (even though I don't speak Spanish). Got transferred to an English-speaking rep pretty quick. Good luck!
