EDD: No notification or payment 30+ days after mailing claim. Help!

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my unemployment claim. It's been over a month since I mailed in my claim and I still haven't received any notification or payment. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on how to get through to someone at the unemployment office? I've been trying to call but can't seem to get past the automated system.

I found a way to solve unemployment claim delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNjXIA-BhH0

Ugh, I feel your pain. I was in the same boat a few months ago. It's so frustrating when you're waiting on money you desperately need. Have you tried calling right when they open? That sometimes worked for me.

Thanks for the tip! I've tried calling early but no luck so far. How long did it take for your claim to go through?

It took about 6 weeks for mine to finally process. Hang in there! 💪

6 weeks?! That's insane. The system is so broken 😤

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

I'm skeptical. How do we know this isn't just spam?

I get the skepticism, but I promise it's legit. It saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

Can confirm, I used it last week and finally got my issue resolved. The $20 was worth not pulling my hair out lol

Have you tried reaching out to your local representative? Sometimes they can help push things along with EDD. It's worth a shot!

Mail-in claims take forever these days. I'd recommend filing online if possible. It's usually faster and you can track the status easier.

I didn't even know online filing was an option 🤦‍♂️ Thanks for the heads up!

Here's what worked for me: 1. Call the 833 number, not the 800 one 2. Press 1 for English 3. Then 2 for claim questions 4. Then 4 for general info Sometimes you'll get through faster this way. Good luck!

idk man, the whole system is a joke. I've been waiting 2 months and still nothing. Starting to think ill never see that money 🤡

Don't give up hope! It sucks, but persistence is key. Keep calling and documenting everything.

Pro tip: if you can't get through on the phone, try reaching out via social media. Sometimes their Twitter support is more responsive.
