DUA claim on hold for a month, can't reach anyone - help!
Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my unemployment claim and could use some advice. I filed over a month ago and haven't received any verification letter, spoken to an adjuster, or gotten any payments. My online account says the claim is current but on hold. I've been calling every day but can't get through to a real person. Now when I try to submit my weekly claim, I'm getting a message saying there are pending issues and I'm not authorized to receive payment. Anyone know what's going on or how to fix this?

Sounds like you need to update your earnings info. Check if there's a section in your account to report severance or other income. That might be what's holding things up.

•Thanks, I'll look into that. Do you know where exactly I can find that section? I'm having trouble locating it on the website.

•It's usually under 'Weekly Claims' or 'Payment Requests'. Look for something like 'Update Earnings' or 'Report Income'. If you can't find it, you might need to call and ask for help navigating the site.

•Got it, thanks! I'll give that a try and see if it helps resolve the issue.

Ugh, the system is so broken 🤮 I've been dealing with similar issues for weeks. It's like they make it impossible on purpose!

Have you been reporting any side gig income? That could be causing issues if you haven't been updating it regularly.

•Actually, I did some pet sitting through apps like Wag and Rover. Do I need to report that? It wasn't much, only about $700 last month.

•Yes! You definitely need to report that. Even small amounts can affect your claim. Make sure to update your weekly earnings with that info ASAP.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/ok4BhTU0_EI

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Anyone else tried it?

•I was skeptical at first too, but it really worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

•How long did it take to get through? I'm desperate but $20 is a lot when you're not getting any benefits ðŸ˜

•It took about 2 hours for me, but I didn't have to do anything. The service called me when an agent was on the line. Way better than sitting on hold all day!

Here's what you need to do: 1. Update your earnings info ASAP. Include any severance and side gig income. 2. Check for any pending questionnaires or requests for additional info in your online account. 3. If you can't find the issue online, you NEED to speak with an agent. 4. Keep detailed records of all your attempts to contact them. 5. Consider reaching out to your local state representative for help. 6. If all else fails, file an appeal to get your case reviewed. Remember, persistence is key. Don't give up!

•I don't think there's a set time limit, but if it's been more than a few weeks, something's definitely wrong. You should be pushing for answers.

Pro tip: document EVERYTHING. Every call, every letter, every update to your account. It'll help if you need to appeal or if there are any discrepancies later.

•I hadn't thought of that! Do you know if they respond to DMs or just public tweets?

Friendly reminder to everyone: don't forget to certify for benefits every week, even if your claim is on hold! You don't want to miss out on back pay if/when it gets resolved.
