EDD payments still pending, no notifications - what to do?

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my unemployment payments. They've been pending for a while now and I haven't received anything. I checked online today and still nothing. I haven't gotten any notifications or requests for additional info either. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on what I should do when I call them?

I found a way to solve unemployment payment delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PwRsA0Xv83Y

Ugh, I feel you. I've been in the same boat for weeks now. It's so frustrating! Have you tried calling them? Sometimes that's the only way to get answers.

I haven't called yet, but I'm planning to. Just worried about being on hold forever 😩

Pro tip: call right when they open. You might have a better chance of getting through!

Good luck! Let us know how it goes. The waiting game is the worst 😤

I found a way to get someone on the phone without waiting for hours. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/0UZGuPWGErg

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

$20? That's kinda steep. Is it really worth it?

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. totally worth the 20 bucks imo

Interesting. How long did you have to wait before they connected you?

It took about 45 minutes, but I didn't have to do anything. Just got a call when an agent was ready. Way better than being stuck on hold myself!

Here's what you need to do when you call: 1. Have all your claim info ready (claim number, last employer, etc.) 2. Explain that your payments are pending and you haven't received any notifications 3. Ask if there's any specific reason for the delay 4. See if there are any documents or info they need from you 5. Get a clear timeline for when you can expect your payments Be polite but firm. Sometimes you gotta be persistent to get answers. Good luck!

Thank you so much! This is really helpful. I'll definitely follow these steps when I call.

Great advice! I'd add: write down the name of who you talk to and get a reference number for the call if possible.

This system is so broken 😡 Why do we have to jump through hoops just to get what we're entitled to? It's ridiculous!

Preach! 🙌 The whole thing needs an overhaul.

ikr? feels like they make it difficult on purpose sometimes 🙄

Hey, don't lose hope! I was in your situation last month. Turns out there was a glitch in their system. Keep calling and eventually you'll get it sorted. Sending good vibes your way! 💪

Thanks for the encouragement! It helps to know others have gotten through this.

I went through this exact same thing a few months ago - payments stuck in pending for almost 3 weeks with zero communication. What finally worked for me was calling the technical support line (not the main number) at 1-800-300-5616. They were able to see there was a flag on my account that needed manual review. Sometimes it's just a system glitch that requires human intervention. Also, try logging in and out of your EDD account a few times - sounds silly but it actually refreshed something on my end. Don't give up, you'll get through this! 🤞

This is super helpful! I didn't even know there was a separate technical support line. Definitely going to try calling that number instead of the main one. The login/logout trick is interesting too - I'll give that a shot right now. Thanks for sharing what worked for you! 🙏
