Missing SDI/PFL checks for 3 weeks of maternity leave - how to get EDD to fix this?
Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my short-term disability and paid family leave payments after my maternity leave. I've checked with HR and found out I'm missing checks for the first, third, and last week of my leave. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on how to handle it when I call them? I'm pretty frustrated and could use some help figuring out what to say.

Ugh, I feel your pain! I had a similar issue last year. Here's what worked for me: • Call early in the morning, right when they open • Have all your paperwork ready (claim numbers, dates, etc.) • Ask to speak with a supervisor if the first person can't help • Be polite but firm - don't let them brush you off • Keep a log of every call (who you talked to, what they said) • Follow up with emails to create a paper trail Stay persistent! It took me about 3 weeks of calling, but I finally got my missing payments. Good luck!

Have you tried reaching out to them on social media? Sometimes public pressure can get them to respond faster. Worth a shot if the phone calls don't work out.

Hey, former EDD employee here. A few things to keep in mind: 1. Make sure your claim dates are correct in the system 2. Check if there were any holidays during those weeks - payments can be delayed 3. Ask if there were any flags on your account for those weeks 4. Request a payment trace if they say the checks were sent Hope this helps!
