Here's what you need to know about PFL in California: • You're typically eligible for up to 8 weeks of PFL within any 12-month period • PFL can be taken all at once or intermittently • You need to have earned at least $300 in wages that were subject to SDI deductions • There's a 7-day unpaid waiting period before benefits start • You should receive about 60-70% of your weekly wages If you think you're eligible for more than 2 weeks, definitely follow up with EDD. Sometimes there are mix-ups with paperwork or system errors. Don't give up!
