PFL office keeps connecting me to wrong line - how to actually reach someone for Paid Family Leave claim help?
Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my Paid Family Leave claim. I've been trying to get in touch with the right department, but I keep getting connected to the wrong line. It's so frustrating! Has anyone else had this problem? Any tips on how to actually reach someone who can help with PFL claims?

Ugh, I feel your pain! The PFL office is notoriously hard to reach. I spent weeks trying to get through. Have you tried calling right when they open? Sometimes that works better.

•Early morning calls are hit or miss tbh. I've had better luck calling around 2pm 🤷♂️

•Really? Huh, maybe it depends on the day. The whole system is so unpredictable 🙄

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

•20 bucks to actually talk to a human? might be worth it at this point lol

•Exactly! Time is money, and I was wasting so much time on hold. This was a game-changer for me.

Have you tried faxing your documents? Sometimes that gets a faster response than calling.

The PFL system is a joke. I've been waiting for 3 months to get my claim processed. Good luck getting any real help 🤡

•3 months?! That's insane. I thought my 6-week wait was bad. This system is broken af

Here's what worked for me with my PFL claim: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your calls, who you spoke to, and what they said. 2. Be persistent. Call every day if you have to. 3. Use the online portal to upload any documents they request ASAP. 4. If you're not getting anywhere, contact your local state representative's office. They can sometimes intervene on your behalf. 5. Join Facebook groups for PFL claimants. Sometimes you can get insider tips there. 6. If all else fails, consider using a paid service like the one mentioned above to get through to a human. Remember, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Don't give up!

Pro tip: if you get connected to the wrong department, ask them to transfer you directly instead of hanging up and calling again. Sometimes they can do an internal transfer that bypasses the main menu.
